With the price of coffee skyrocketing, will tea get a resurgence in popularity?

Maybe. I've been drinking less coffee and more tea lately. But most people aren't as smart as me tho

Buy bulk green coffee beans and roast them yourself. You're welcome.

I started drinking tea because I never felt like making a whole pot of coffee and keurigs are dogshit and now I probably prefer it. 100 teabags are like 1.20 at Walmart, too, so it's way cheaoer

i doubt fatties would care much if there were less coffee in their starbucks drinks. it's only there so they can rationalize it as "just a coffee"

they don't make it at home because it would break the illusion and they'd feel fat dumping in the ingredients

You better not eat eggs and milk since they come from female animals.

That appears to be for 2021. Looks like the current market for Arabica Futures has gone down since then. About 1.90$ per pound.

more like people will swill up coffee from more bitter, hardier crops. Real human coffee beans are notoriously picky with climate, demand is always rising and markets are always widening. That's why I stay away from coffee: I realize that the normal price range, decent product will evaporate sooner or later. You vill brew ze bugz and you vill be happy. lel

>> No.18966812

>>18966801
PS I think you can trace it via the market shares of arabica vs that other common breed, w/e it was. Bottom line is the delicate crop is dwindling with current climate fluctuation/change.

Americans don't like tea because the only tea they know is Liptons, a brand so abhorrent that they don't even sell in England, their own home country AND the home of bad tea. They were too bad even for that. But it's all Americans know. Obviously it's not their fault that their options are Lipton or, if they decide they like tea, fucking Harney and Sons.

I don't bother with bagged tea except for what amounts to nostalgic reasons (I'm British, so). I'm currently sipping my way through a big box of Chinese duck shit oolong my ex gave me before we broke up.

That looks like price went down slightly when you account for inflation.

good tea needs to grow in similar conditions to coffee. I looked into putting some in but it's not worth it.

if coffee is getting expensive due to more demand it'll take over some tea plantations. if it gets expensive due to climate change or production costs, tea will follow shortly after.

I have already switched to tea but not because of price. I did it because coffee is more acidic. And because cold brewed tea is piss easy.
>Buy loose leaf tea from ay rab store
>Put two ounces in gallon jar
>Add quartered lemon
>Fill with water
>Put in fridge overnight
>Pour through strainer
>Squeeze lemon onto strained tea.

If this is too hard you can use bagged tea. Loose tastes better and is cheaper.
