Let's talk about the various processed meats of the world. Starting with the jewel of the East coast, Pork Roll.

Hot dogs. Preferably those that come 8 to a pack (like Nathan's skinless bun length). With lots of relish and/or mustard.

What's your preference of dog? For me, it's gotta be all beef, and with natural casing

I normally buy Nathan's which are all beef and skinless. I do like a plain or simple mustard dog from time to time, but man, I really like to go heavy with the toppings. A bunch of spicy mustard and sauerkraut is great. Celery salt and yellow mustard. Sweet relish, dill relish, chow chow relish, hot pepper relish...anything but ketchup.

Nice. And yes I agree ketchup is a no go, not even because of some "food rules" thing but I just legitimately don't think ketchup works well with the taste of hot dogs.

A large tube shaped like the outline of the bear with a smaller medium-sized tube inside of it shaped like the lighter part, and inside that 4 smaller tubes for the eyes/nose/mouth. Darker meat mixture is forced through the big tube and the eyes/mouth/nose, and lighter mixture is forced through the medium inner tube.

I love Italian meats, but one thing I don't really get is Mortadella, I tried it and it really just tastes like bologna, but it's supposed to be the "vastly superior version of", but to me it's really just mostly very similar, the main difference is visual to me with the whole chunks of fat, but even that doesn't add much taste difference to me

Reminds me of when I'd buy cheap Mexican brick weed in the early 2000s and they'd throw ball bearings, nuts and bolts, rocks and all kinds of shit to add cheap bulk to the product.

>> No.18964344

>>18964338
It's pretty much just a texture difference, a good bologna and a good mortadella taste roughly the same unless you're biting into one of the pistachios or something on the mortadella.

I guess the smaller tubes enter the side of the larger tube further back and the meat reforms around them? I wonder who first decided to make ghostly faces in meat.

It only says that because the government thinks it has the right to tell us what our food is called. The inventor of the food named it Taylor Ham. Only bootlickers use the government name.

It hasn't been that price for about 20 years. Its around 90p per 100g. Its mainly Billy Bear you see, the variants have pretty much gone now
