oh i do add some vinegar sometimes
canned tuna is not fine dining just needs some salt oil and vinegar, like most things eaten cold
needing to spice and season everything and shunning simple flavors as "bland" is quintessential third worldism
meats should need nothing more than to be seared and salted, fish, salt lemon pepper, etc

No no. That is a plebcope take. Cheap canned tuna is bland in an unappealing low quality fish way.

I get excellenf quality canned tuna like pic on occasion and it only gets a simple dressing and to be gently broken into bite sized chunks because the subtlety and texture would be ruined if I did too much with it.

If you like canned tuna I'd say it's actually worth the price as an occasional treat. Both the flavor and texture are delicious. It would be a waste to turn it into a pasted up tuna salad. You use it for something like a nicoise salad, or a fresh and light cold pasta salad.

Anyways... My point is that the flavor and texture of cheap canned tuna is inherently low quality, which is why it needs some additional flavorings to make it delicious.
