If you were rich and wasteful enough to heat an entire electronically temperature controlled pellet stove with internal thermometer probe for 1 steak, then cook that 1 steak in an entire pan of beef tallow that you throw away immediately, you'd get an amazing steak as well for 30 dollars in energy and ingredients not including the price of the steak.
