I'm an asian kid raised in Florida and the Publix checkout lady would never smile or ask how my day was even though they would do so for the yts in front of me. As such, I treat yts the same way at my tech job now and block their promos and make sure they're the first ones to get laid off.

Publix is phenomenal. I shop there pretty exclusively because I’m within a quarter mile of one. Their deli/ hot food is fucking kino. I’ll only go if I’m considering fried chicken or subs it’s Miles better than anywhere else, and cheaper than KFC or Subway/Firehouse.
But I’ll do that once a month if I’m feeling lazy. Really- I plan all of my meals around BOGOs. I shop exclusively BOGO and it forces me to get creative, or stock up on stuff with good shelf life that I’ll use.
It’s fucking tight.
I feel like they’re actually not juuging me, the consumer, because they don’t expect someone to literally only purchase BOGO items.
So, suck it Publix/ I love you Publix.

(Anything to stock my kitchen/basics I buy in bulk elsewhere like once every few years)

I live in the mid-Atlantic region and of the available options of Safeway, Giant, and Wegmans, Wegmans is easily the best, especially when it comes to pre-made meals and beer selection. My only complaint is how busy they usually are

Can someone explain to me how a company manages to profit off of BOGO sales? I know for some items the overhead is so steep that they don’t get hurt by them, but for things like boneless skinless chicken breasts I can’t really picture them coming out on top.
I always thought that the BOGO was a trap to get you in the store and also spending money on regular items. Is this anon truly winning by shopping exclusively BOGO?
