>butterbeer taste like
Butterbeer tastes like cream soda and butterscotch with a sweet, forthy topping. There's no actual beer in butterbeer despite its name and it's very sweet.Feb 24, 2018

all you had to do was google it zoomer

Could we make a more interesting Butterbeer?

How about using a little egg to emulsify actual butter into a compatible beer?

>> No.18925562

actual butter beer is very different from the sugar shit you get at harry pooper place at universal pictures, which is basically cream soda with butterscotch

I couldn't drink the one I got. It was disgusting. I guess Americans are used to shoving sugar down their throats so this doesn't even faze them. God, I hate Americans. I want to torture one.

It's kinda like if you took cream soda, added a little root beer, butterscotch syrup, (should just add real alcohol), ginger, cider, added TONS of tablespoons of pure sugar, and not to mention that sugary Whipped cream.

Probably a combo of some or maybe all of that.
But I think the sugar is the main part.
That's why most (usa) people like it.

>> No.18925936

>>18925932
Is that from experience ? I know you can buy it from the universal studio thing of diagon alley

>> No.18925944

Literally had this at Universal Studios Hollywood.

It tasted like butterscotch, soda water, and cream. Was pretty good but I could make this at home for 1/20th the cost.

>> No.18925951

>>18925936
I did try it once, i would say it's mostly cream soda and sugar, there is something else there.
Probably the butterscotch.
Maybe a little ginger, but not much or not powerfull i think.
I don't think cider, but cider is usually sweet, and it does taste sweet, so idk.
And yeah the whipped cream is a BIG part of it i think.
Butterbeer vs like cream soda is like root beer vs root beer Float.

But honestly i didn't try it enough.
And i barely remember.
So this is all i can give you, sorry.

I tried making it with my friend a couple of years ago, the first two sips tasted amazing and then it hits you that you're essentially drinking cookie dough with beer instead of flour and the amount of fat and sugar is revolting.

I forgot to add, the bottled stuff doesn't come with whipped cream.
The whipped cream is for the ones made at a bar when you order, either in harry potter store (like nyc) or in orlando.
But it still kinda tastes like it has whipped cream in it.

But honestly, even though it was good, i think the exspectation is too high.
People watch famous movies with MAGIC, and they exspect like mind blowing.
I don't think it's mind blowing.
It was kinda basic?

But i heard the ones made at bar with the cream are a LOT better then the bottle.
Again it's like comparing root beer, to root beer float.
Don't exspect the ones made at bars with cream to taste like the bottle.

If the bottle is 6/10 the one at bar (in the very FEW places) with cream is probably like 9/10.
So if you don't exspect too much it's good.
Just be prepared i guess.

Again, i had it like once years ago, so don't take my word for it.

There's actually an old German recipe for butter beer. Here's a hint, it's rich as fuck because it's an emulsification of eggs, butter, and beer.
