As a Canadian with American relatives, one of the main reasons I would never even consider moving down south is your Healthcare system. My wife deals with an auto immune disease that costs us very little to manage because medication is covered and she can get regular check ups and specialty tests that would cost an arm and a leg there.

The US system is great for the wealthy, but to middle and lower classes it's way better here.

To someone who likes poutine, it's basically just a shittier version. Mozzarella melts decently, but it doesn't have the same flavor or texture that makes the poutine. I won't turn my nose up at a poutine with good chips and gravy but has mozzarella or even cheddar on it, but it's a little like when Asians make their pizza sauce almost ketchup sweet, it's just weird.
