When I was a kid I nibbled on one of the plain cookie dog treats to make my sister laugh and also gross her out. It tasted like a stale sugar cookie.

I did as a small child but I post here, and no one I know in IRL will admit to eating dog biscuits as a child so I don’t think it’s a normal thing to do, no.

Not dog biscuits, but as a child i once had an impulse craving for cat food and tried some from the bag.
From what i remember it was just a dry, salty, "meat" flavored crunch with a sandy/grainy texture.
Long story short, the cat food was gross and i wouldn't recommend you try it.

As kids me and my brother begged to try beggin strips
it worked, our parents bought us a pack. i had one or two and decided i didn't like it, brother spit his out
i'll still try a meat dog snack once in a while, but it's always the same low quality garbage, like an extra shitty combo
