How do I cook this piece of shit so it doesn't taste like fucking shit
Thanks in advance

>> No.18851171

lol you don't. that brand sucks a fuck. it's more frozen bread than anything else

Bake in an oven at 350F until cooked through, should start getting lightly browned on both ends.

Place slices of cheddar cheese on top and pop back in the oven until cheese is golden brown.

That's how my dad used to make them. We were pretty poor growing up. Also the Spicy Jalapeno Bean & Cheese Chimichanga ones are better, but all the ones that claim to have meat are full of textured soy protein.

Thanks for the dose of nosalgia, bro.

I put shredded Mexican style cheese blend on them with some salsa or cholula. Good luck man, they're pretty mediocre.

microwave until warm enough to eat
immediately after, put pan on stove
brown all sides

nothing because the ingredients are bad. use a lot of salsa, hot sauce, or even fucking ketchup to mask the taste.

It's cheaper and healthier to just make your own and put em in Ziplocs in the freezer

>microwave on one side
>flip and add canned green chile sauce and mexican cheese
>microwave again
>add sour cream and whatever else
And it's best to combine this with some other similarly sized frozen burrito that has some meat, on the same plate. Don't just do a bean one on its own

done this with simple burritos made with canned refried beans, seasoned ground beef, and shredded cheese

it is much better. i'm not sure it's cheaper though, but it's not really expensive...

protip: wrap them in foil, they reheat surprisingly well in the oven that way, and are like Mitch Hedburg baked potato joke...

Microwave them on a plate then top them off with lettuce, cheese, sour cream and salsa or green chili.

These are horrible, I've got a pack "for me" in the freezer I just don't ever touch.

The best way to eat them is to smother them in hot sauce and some kind of melted cheese, but they are just bad

El Monterey has some OKAY items, but their burritos for some reason are just crap, my mom buys them all the time

follow the instructions, ass
conventional oven will yield a better result than a microwave

>> No.18852592

They're both bad. Microwave gets you a soft burrito that's unevenly cooked, oven gets you a rock hard burrito that has filling coming out of the cracks of the now crackerized shell, who wants a cracker burrito?

Either way, it's ultimately the bad filling that ruins these anyway, you feel like you're just eating a brick of stale tortilla with some unsatisfying paste in the middle

I used to let them thaw in the fridge over night . They would heat up in the microwave much better then - also gave me the option to pan fry them like. But yes, they will still taste like processed shit.

This doesn't exist east of Texas, closest sub would be green enchilada sauce

Microwave for ~6-12 mins then air fry for 8 mins.
I mic for 10 mins on a busted old 900w.
Works for frozen Yiros too.
