So I messed up last night. I put a pot if water on to boil, was about to start some chicken in a pan and realized I didn't have any oil. My mom was in the same room and knew I was cooking, so i ran to the store real quick to get some olive oil. When I came back I realized I turned on wrong burner, and the heat was going on my nonstick for maybe 8-10 minutes. I ended up fixing the situation, but I'm not sure if I can use the nonstick anymore. I've read that after even a few minutes, if can become toxic and harm you. Is it still safe to use now?

I stopped using "non-stick" coated pans years ago. Only steel and iron for me now. When I run out of oil I clarify butter in a saucepan. Bit of a pain in the ass, but it's subjectively better than light olive oil for pan frying. Hope this helps.
