40 years old and 470lbs, if I can't lose weight I'm going to die soon. I have tried literally everything and I can't break the addiction to food.
I want to give up on trying to make food palatable and force myself to eat one thing for a long time until I can unfuck my body and my brain.

What is the simplest most nutritionally complete meal I can eat that won't tempt me to have 2 or 3 helpings.
I just want something bland that I can prep ahead of time for the week and just pull it out of the fridge and force it down and forget about food until I have to eat again.

>> No.18800171

go to /fit/
go to /fat/ thread there
people there can help you much more than /ck/ can
but you need to know that you cannot survive off of just 1 food
you need nutrition, which requires diversity
you *can* eat just one thing, but you will not be healthy
you need fish, you need fruits, you need vegetables, you need meats, you need vitamins
you cannot get all of this from one dish
honestly what I would maybe consider doing is a keto diet, as your addiction is very deep
at least with keto, a VERY strict keto diet, you would rapidly lose weight and see results fast - which would encourage you to stay on your path
/fit/ can help you with keto
but the thing is, if you cheat with keto - like you do 6 days in a row of keto, but then cheat for 1 meal on the 7th day, you undo all the progress from the previous 6 days
/fit/ will explain more in depth
if you can do keto, you can eat a ton of meat & oils/fats - just no carbs - so it may be easier for you to recover from your addiction than some other diets
and you'll also lose weight the fastest

The latter, I can diet and fast just fine for a few days but as soon as I have to eat I can't control it. The hunger just won't stop until I'm bloated and feel like I'm going to explode.
And even then there is still a feeling of hunger in the background. It never really goes away no matter what. I hate it, I hate that food has ruined my life. Sometimes I fantasize about cutting my tongue out, it feels like it would be the only way to stop myself.

same here bro.
The trick is if you have weak willpower then you need to get all ""easy"" food out of your house.

Buy meat in bulk, cut it into appropriate portions and freeze it.

If you're like me, when you get cravings, you want to reach in the cupboard and demolish a whole box of Cheez-its. You're not gonna thaw frozen meat.

I was hungry every day. I'm still hungry every day. You have to come to terms with the fact that to lose weight and keep it off your diet will never end. Some people naturally have a larger appetite and if you want to maintain a healthy weight you will need to have or gain the willpower to do so.

Talk to your doctor about appetite suppressants. That shit was too expensive for me at the time but maybe your insurance will cover it. I think it's easier to get covered if you are pre-diabetic.

Most suggestions are going to be diet but it seems to me your biggest problem is sitting on your fat ass. You need a minimum 3000 calories a day just to maintain that weight, get the fuck off your ass and go outside instead of just sitting inside munching.
You can't get or more importantly stay that big by having a couple snacks than you should. That is concentrated effort you've put into being gluttonous.
As far as food tricks make a giant plate of vegetables and eat that first before you indulge in carbohydrates and tears.
This is isn't just laziness or over-eating, you have to actually go out of your way to be this fat, now put down the fork.

I used to be quite fat. The potato diet as mentioned is solid, but it's not reliant on potatoes at all. Ray Cronise, who originated it only picked potatoes because he knew Penn Jillette liked them. But anything simple, like rice and beans or virtually anything bland will suffice. The goal is to reset taste buds so you're not eating for pleasure, you are eating for survival. It doesn't really matter because it's not meant to be a long term diet. The point is to change your relationship to the food you eat.

That said, I went with what to this day I call the Stalone method. I reme as a fat kid watching some old talk show where they asked him how he was always in such good shape.

He said its easy, if you eat well and exercise 5 days a week, when it comes to the weekend you can do whatever. "Pizza, hamburgers, ice cream... doesn't matter. You've done good it's covered" pretty similar to how the rock now talks about cheat days. It really works though.

And here's a thing, I used to drink Coke like crazy, but on that cut it out other than weekends. The first week was awful and coke on Saturday felt like an amazing relief. The second week it was tasty but I didn't crave it like I one did. The third week I drank it mostly just cause I could. By week 4 I did bother, it seemed gross.

Now I have it on rare occasion and it's an intense treat but that's it.

>I can't break the addiction to food
You're not addicted to """food""", you're addicted to sugar and carbs in general. There are no people addicted to steaks or eggs, but there are endless hordes of people addicted to sugary goyslop.

Cut out all carbs out of your diet and the weight will start falling off and will keep off. The simplest way? Eat (fatty) meat and drink water.

Fasting is fine, but remember that fasting induces muscle loss along with the fat. There is no way around this. Muscle mass is needed not just to be strong or attractive, it acts as a glucose sink in your body and elevates your basal metabolic rate so loss of muscle mass also means a reduction in BMR which means you can now eat even less without getting fat.

The better route is to just eat meat and do resistance training to GAIN muscle mass so that you can increase your BMR and improve your metabolism. You don't have to train hard or heavy, buy yourself a set of resistance bands and do some basic exercises until you get winded.

You have to work with your will power and habits first, anon. No diet trick is going to help because you're trying to build a house by starting from the roof instead of the ground.
I'm not going to send you to the gym or jogg, because this starts with the mind. Set yourself some goals you can achieve. Make your bed everyday when you wake up, even if its annoying. Wash your dishes immediately after eating. Clean that room/garage/backyard that you have been postponing for ages. Sell that extra thing you keep saving in your closet/attic/basement.
Try to get involved with community work, find a new hobbie, try to meet people in events and such.
Good habits work like chain, once you get one the next will follow. If you look forward to do something then you'll want to be at your best, to show your friends and people you care about that you're still made of good stuff, just like them.
Once you finish what you start, and once you get the will to do things that you don't want to do, but you still accomplish them, then you'll have the solid ground to face this with bigger weapons.

Still, it's not only about what you cook. You must understand your metabolism. You are obviously insulin resistant, and yout gut microbiome is also fucked up.
You have to eat more protein and fiber, foods that will saciate you. You say that you always want another dish right? It's not the same to eat a second plate of steak than a second plate of spaghetti. Eat things thats require a lot of chewing, get your jaw exhausted so your hunger becomes something secondary. There is tricks to fill your belly too. Drink a big glass of water before meals. Have some collagen peptide supplements to entertain your stomach with it before meals, it has zero calories and it's healthy. You don't need to starve yourself at the start, you can eat as always and then choose a time (6 pm) to stop eating until next morning. Half fasts are good for this, it will help you control your cravings.

>> No.18801174

You are fat, so your willpower is shit. You won't grow any anytime soon so you have to sidestep it. Remove anything edible and do two weeks of cold turkey water fasting. It will be miserable but since you're fat and lazy, the chances that you will get off your ass to acquire food will be low.

Now that you have detoxed yourself from sugar cravings, you do KETO. None of that frankenfood keto, but low/no carbs vegetables and meat. Dairy too but mind that milk and such have a lot of sugar. You also have to work out, but don't bother with cardioshit except for endurance training. Build your muscles. Also important, don't gimp your intake. Rapid weight loss will mean loose skin, if you go slower it will be less pronounced, though some will be unavoidable.

Only have food available that requires cooking, it's a good way to control cravings. Track everything.

I don't have a problem with keto diets, I like them. Just don't send people that is obviously diabetic to go from who-knows how many carbs to zero in an instant. It is true they should begin to lower them until reaching a reasonable number, but I would not toy with such low levels of sugar when the metabolism is fucked up. More over, a person that can't stop himself from getting an extra pizza is not going to do your so lover intermittent fasting. There are steps that must be achieved before doing harder stuff. You people can starve yourselves with water fasts because your body is fully functional and you just want to fit in your old pants. It's not the same for a person that's probably pumping god knows what amount of insulin in his bloodstream right now.

Find someone you could trust with your life (literally in this case) who can take control of your money and has the iron will to not give in to you screaming about wanting to stuff your face with garbage (nor would spend your money without your permission). This would be a parent or sibling.

Have them purchase only essentials for you using that money, pay bills etc, including the food you need to get healthy and ONLY that food in the RIGHT amount.
Have them deliver it to you at frequent intervals and not all at once because then you will just eat it all and then have nothing for however long which itself is bad.

You will be incapable of buying trash food or snacks due to having no money of your own.
Eventually you will get healthy, and will be able to take hold of your finances again. You'd likely just fall back into old habits as you clearly have no discipline. But there could be a condition like not just getting back to healthy levels, but also having to regularly exercise and do so for a long while to get your money back.
If you pull that off, you'd at least have some power of will with which you might resist.

unironically go for meth or adderall, or a designer amphetamine. Eat bubble gum so you don't grind your teeth into dust. That's the only real shortcut, i guess you remember what phentermine was all about, that's basically it.

But since you can't have a cake and eat it too, you'll end up with a heart and kidneys way more damage than if you stayed that fat all your life, you have also fucked up your brain chemistry to the point that it could be reasonable to not call you the same person anymore, you're basically substituting an addiction with another that is way more fucked up, your teeth will be fucked no matter what because the lack of saliva will damage your teeth even if you don't grind them, and the weight loss will be too quick with a dehydrated skin meaning you'll become a walking sack of flesh by the time you're done. Oh, and chances are that you will put your body into shock by going from fatso mode to auschwitz mode, and with a damaged heart, that usually means death.

Other, healthier way : count your calories using myfitnesspal then start doing it in your head naturally (after a week or two you figure it out). Calculate your TDEE and your sedentary calory consuming rate for a day. That way you'll know exactly how much calories you can consume without risking gaining weight.

That way, instead of just feeling bad about eating a burger and some ice cream, you'll actually know the extent of the damage you've done. You'll also know that you can get away with a bag of chips or bi mac as long as you don't drink the coke that goes with it.
And if you do any sports, you will realize how few calories you lose when you do so. a 30 minute cardio effort (roughly 200 to 300 kcal) will be completely nullified by the liter of Big Gulp you got at the sleven. That was the biggest motivator for me to completely stop soda. I only drink carbonated water or plain precisely because of that.

Not necessarily. You can be a huge foodie and not gain weight because you're not eating like shit. I eat varied, healthy foods at gargantuan quantities. But I avoid carefully any form of food that would get me bloated like a balloon.
A gallon of clam chowder is roughly 2300 kcal, meaning he can drink an entire gallon of that shit throughout the day and not GAIN weight. you can eat 10 kgs of kimchi to get the same goal, or 1.5kg of cooked paella (which is basically flavored rice and protein), and i guarantee you that many classic dishes, especially the ones with green veggies, can be eaten by the kilograms and you'd still get away with it.

On the other hand, eat a bag of chips and a tub of ben and jerry ice cream : 2300kcal. Except I know a fuck ton of people, thin people included, that will eat that shit throughout the day (not as a habit of course) and still have a lunch and a dinner. And that's exactly what fat people (including me when I was one) do. They eat extremely calorie dense foods that aren't satiating you because your brain sucks at counting modern food calories because the amount of calories per gram just doesn't make sense to it. We got shit that tastes like bananas but have 100 times the fat, but our brains didn't evolve fast enough to compute that.

I remember my dad being a fat fuck too, eating hamburgers and ice cream and shit but shaming me because I once drank a an entire 1liter carton of soup, because to him, the calories didn't matter, but the volumes did. But now i eat gargantuan meals and still lost 40kgs. And no rebound too, because going back to a baseline, no weight loss amount of calories translated into eating way too much food for me to relapse.

Cuz glycogen, if you're weighing that much then keto is gonna look more impressive with 40lb of water weight gone before the finish line.
You will still lose water weight with calorie deficit, just only at a slower rate as your glycogen remains proportional to your body weight.
I always see ketofags losing the first 100lb but I rarely see keto given credit for the last 10lb.
The best way to lose weight is salt and getting good at not eating, then eating according to tdee calculator.

mix cooked white rice with a little coconut oil (just for texture, not for flavor) with some light spices like some dried garlic and pepper. Have that as your baseline filler food because it's pretty easy to add things to it to make you not hate it, like a little cream or some mushrooms.

But if you really need to lose weight, do what i've been doing: pick a day, and do one situp, one pushup, and one pullup. Then, the next day, do one more. Don't ever take a day off. It's only ever one more than the day before, so it's never too much to ask, and eventually it becomes a habit that you don't want to break. You'll get to the point of where your regular muscle you normally have will finally be tested (for me it was around ten days) and you'll want to stop, but it'll be a hundred times easier to keep going because instead of jumping right in to a large number, you had a slow, methodical increase which means your cardio will never be too overtaxed.
Remember: the key to change that sticks is not dramatic changes, it's small, easily-maintainable alterations that can synergize. Don't fad diet and only fad diet, do a little diet, a little exercise, and a little habit alteration, then when those become normal, do a little more.

My advise just go out of walks doesnt matter if its just 30 mins as time goes by ur gonna automatically increase it to 1-2 hour walks also i recommend u listen to audiobooks while doing it, its what helped me lose shitload of weight and i go out for 2-3 hour walks and dont pay a single dime to gyms or whatever. the biggest thing that improved my eating habits was not having easy food around me at all times. I have to actually *cook* food, or walk outside to go to the mcdonalds, and while that's terribly unhealthy to eat, it comes with a hundred other small things. I'm putting clothes on, im walking, im getting fresh air, im interacting with other human beings, and it refills enough of my Needs Bars(tm) that it's far more satisfying than just eating the food would be. Either option I choose is way better for me than having something frozen in the freezer that I can heat and eat in minutes.

>I have tried literally everything and I can't break the addiction to food.
Your body's leptin response is broken. Leptin is the hormone that tells you to stop eating. Processed food poisons your body and breaks all sorts of hormones. Stop eating processed food and you'll naturally start eating less and thus lose weight.

I'm not going to tell you to eat meme shit. Just stop eating anything that's been even remotely processed.

Correct. Removing the temptation altogether is infinitely better than attempting to resist it. If all the food in your cupboard requires cooking before eating, you're far less likely to binge. If you never buy snacks, you can't eat snacks.

It's such a simple idea that you can apply to many aspects of your life. Monks had the right idea.

>The hunger just won't stop until I'm bloated and feel like I'm going to explode.
Because your body is resistant to the effects of the hormone that tells you to stop eating, leptin. Understand that you are trapped in a feedback loop of eating lots of processed food that breaks your ability to stop eating lots of processed food.

https://www.webmd.com/diet/obesity/features/the-facts-on-leptin-faq

Leptin is a relatively recent discovery, hence why you'll never hear anyone talk about it as it isn't part of the established dogma on weight.

So here's the thing, If you don't have self control, or eat food that won't satiate your hunger, having a large fucking batch in the fridge might not help. I would either make food that is easy to make 1 portion of, requires additional cooking like pasta(1 portion only obviously), or can be frozen in portions so it's not that easy to eat again. This way you never have food ready without additional effort, unless you start drinking straigth pasta sauce from the fridge. I also tried eating half portion for 2 weeks, after which i felt less hungry when i bumped the portions up to like 3/4. You could also skip breakfast or lunch, depending on preference.

Don’t drink your calories. Soda and fruit juice will not satisfy your need for food and provide little nutritional benefit. Be wary about how much oil you use, even 1 tablespoon of olive oil has a lot of calories. Salad dressings and some sandwich spreads are also a common trap when it comes to this, adding too much sugar or cream to coffee can be this too.

Replace unhealthy food you eat with a healthier alternative. If you have a sweet tooth, eat fruit instead of chocolate. If you like to snack, think of a healthier snack to munch on. Fruits and vegetables are good for this because they’re light on calories. Unsalted nuts are decent too so long as you pay attention to portion sizes. Honey may seem “healthier” but it really isn’t that much better. Consider baking food you may normally fry since you won’t need to use as much oil. Breakfasts are some of the least healthy foods people often eat, many of them are like desserts

Eat food with a lot of fiber, because that will fill you up more. Fruits, vegetables, whole grains are all good for this.

Drink plenty of water

Minimize eating out, be very careful about prepackaged meals. When you eat food prepared by someone else you have no control over the ingredients being used. A lot of food in restaurants or prepackaged foods are designed by a profit-seeking business to be tasty to increase demand, not necessarily to be healthy

Eat slowly

If you're 450 lb you can lose a lot of weight without trying too hard with your diet.

The most important thing is the quantity of what you eat. The first step is to train the stomach to accept less food and shrink to a smaller size. What worked for me in the past is to do 16 hour fasts and only eat within an 8 hour window in the day. So only eat at lunch, then dinner at 6, maybe a snack at 7:45 if you want. And since you're 470lb, you can eat big portions and still lose weight. You still have to give up binging on fast food if you're doing that, your meal will have to be actually healthy foods.

The simplest go-to is protein (chicken, pork, beef that you've cooked) and vegetables (broccoli, asparagus, etc). But you can eat as big a portion as you want since you're 470lb, you'll lose a ton of weight within a couple of months. For snacks just eat more protein, maybe cured meats like salami and jerkey, cheese. Just don't eat potato chips or anything sweet. A 470lber needs to cut out starches and sugars to start building back insulin function, and it will keep you less hungry. No need to go full keto though, like you can have something like mashed potato within reason (not every day).

If you follow this for just a few days, you'll find that it becomes easy after maybe 4-5 days as your stomach shrinks. Only the first 2-3 days are hard, it's literally effortless from there.
This is a cheat/cope type of weight loss, but it's a very good place to start. After you gain momentum, you can try looking more seriously into your diet and look into exercising.

- drink only water, carbonated water (no sweetner) and black coffee, absolutely no exceptions.

- have a dedicated window to eat each day. I find one meal a day easier to manage if you got a routine like going to work, and just drink coffee and water to suppress your appetite in between.

- meat do salmon, tuna, and chicken preferably baked in the oven. You can throw fresh vegies in the pan too (broccoli, cauliflower, etc.). Frozen is fine, avoid potatoes, rice, and most other starchy vegetables. If you do eat potatoes, sweet potato bake not fry.

- count your calories for the first week or so, so you get an idea of what your portion sizes should look like.

There isn't one. Your goal is to lose weight. You're going to feel hungry and be tempted to eat more because your body is going to be screaming that it's not getting enough nutrients to maintain itself.
You have to either channel the hunger pangs into something productive, trick your stomach temporarily by supplementing it with something like seltzer, or find a way to ignore the pangs like you would the itch of a mosquito bite.

I was in the same boat as you anon but I broke my food addiction. I'm guessing you eat out a lot, right? Whatever you make at home will taste like shit until you stop eating out for a good 3 to 4 weeks. Then you'll level up your cooking skills and you'll never even bother with eating out. Also, you need to learn how to count your calories. I had a buffalo chicken wrap today I made and it's macro friendly. Start by buying a food scale and reading the nutritional value of foods that's online or on a label behind. It goes like this 100g for 100 calories.

Listen up you fat fuck.

No more sugars. No more starches. At all. Just for a week. Then keep in mind the body only uses 5 FIVE ! ! ! ! ! grams of carbs a day and try to keep carb intake low. Like under 30 grams a day at first and try to get lower.

Eat non processed meat, cheese, veggies. Add fat. YES, FAT. Like grass fed butter. Eat until you are full. Want sweets? Look at STEVIA sweetened stuff. Add moderate, light amounts of sea salt.

Avoid anything that says HYDROGENATED XXX
CANOLA
RAPESEED
SOYBEAN OIL

Do you have type 1 diabetes, pancreas problems or any genetic issues digesting fat? See a doctor. Don't let them tell you to eat shit tons of carbs.

Now pay me $1000 for the personal training I just did. I helped reverse a guy's type 2 diabetes like this.

Alright. Said I would do this last night but I had no time. Let's do a quick version and if you're interesting further I can put more detail into it.

Disclaimer: Like the other anons said, you're going to need a little bit of self-control and motivation as well. You probably have that already. Don't worry, some of the posts telling you that you'll be hungry all the time are retarded. You won't. Though I am not 100% certain the 1st week or few days MAY have you feeling hungry regardless, after a couple weeks you'll fall into a rhythm and it will be smooth.

:::Part 1 (Macros):

1g fat = 9 calories
1g protein = 4 calories
1g carbs = 4 calories

Remember that. Food nutrition is split up between macro nutrients (fat/protein/carbs) that give you your energy and building blocks, and micro nutrients (vitamins/minerals) which supply your body with a host of important matter it will *need* to function correctly, if not optimally.

:::Part 2 (Micros):

Please look into getting an account on Cronometer. Just google it. It's free and you don't need the membership. You can use it to track your total calories intake and your vitamin and mineral intake, but it's mostly there for now so you can see which foods will supply you with what. This is for the long-term picture so you get to understand what's good and what isn't and, hopefully one day, learn to cook for yourself beyond the absolute basics.

Additionally, I highly recommend you look into getting a quality multi-vitamin. It will make the process easier and potentially fix some other problems you may have. If you're in the US or Canada you should try and find Vitamin Code for Men supplements, they are raw ingredients only and of the highest quality. Pic related is what I use. Being realistic here, you are not going to hit 100% of nutritional targets so it's important you use this. Mine didn't come with probiotics & enzymes but don't worry about that if yours also doesn't, I'll supply you with some recs.

What ever you decide to do, you need to control yourself and eat less.

There is no "cheating", there can be none. No back slide, no stopping. It is literally victory or death, and you do not stop until you're at a healthy weight. Then, you keep going.

It is possible but it will take an immense effort. You cannot give yourself the room to fuck up.

:::Part 3 (Kitchen tools):

Watch this vid and acquire most of the tools there:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H31YI223zG4&list=PL9_z7arfoMrsZM7J2D80YYvSzZXJ9lVbe&index=3

You don't *need* an air fryer but the others I'd recommend heavily. A good pots & pans set that will set you up for being healthy and is non-stick is by the name Greenpan. I use them personally and it is the healthiest non-stick set you can get. PFOA, PFAS, PTFE free.

:::Part 4 (Intermittent Fasting):

Beginner guide:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqZsS03dlPk

When you see the word "fasting", it's not really fasting. It's time-restricted eating, which is a lot healthier and more natural than gorging yourself on food every 2-3 hours. You have an eating window you eat food in, and the the rest of the time you only drink water or things that do not contain any macros (fat/protein/carbs), like tea. I've gotten to the point where I legitimately never feel hungry outside the eating window or even think about food (unless I'm looking up a recipe intentionally) and I'm barely hungry even when it's time to eat, but I still enjoy the food of course.

I recommend starting out with 16:8, meaning you do not eat for 16 hours and eat for 8. 10 AM to 6 PM is generally the accepted starting point. You break your fast with your first bite of breakfast at 10 AM and take your last bite of dinner by 6PM at the latest.

:::Part 5 (The rough diet):

You said you're 470 lbs. That's a lot. I'll set you up with a 2200 calorie diet for now (you can reduce by 100 calories every 70-80 pounds or so or just plateau at 2000 and you'll be fine. So, a 2200 calorie diet. What does this mean macro-wise?

80g of fat (720 calories)
200g of protein (800 calories)
170g of carbs (640 calories)

>> No.18809551

>>18809547
Listen, if this sounds autistic, don't worry. You don't need to hit these exacts targets. Just try and hover close to them. Within 10g of each (5g of fat) and you are good. I gave you a conservative estimate of your protein intake relative to your weight.

If you still feel hungry, you can up the protein by 20g or so at a time and see if you're still hungry. For protein, the way to calculate the minimum you should be eating is 0.8g of protein per kg of bodyweight. You can easily go up to 1g+ and still feel fine. Bodybuilders for example go pas that point, but unless you're determined to exercise hard, I would not recommend it.

That's because you don't know a thing about how the human body works and think it burns and demands energy in some predictable constant way. There's all sorts of hormones controlling all sorts of thing in your body. The things you eat can affect their production and how big of an effect they have on you. If the food you eat makes you resistant to the hormone that tells you to stop eating, what the fuck do you think is going to happen? It's pointless regurgitating CICO bullshit when someone's body is constantly screaming at them to eat.

Fatty's bodies can fix themselves, but to do that they need to stop eating the processed things that broke them in the first place.

This is one of the reasons why keto gets recommended to fatties: it cuts out the processed food. The second reason is because if your insulin levels remain as low as possible for as long as possible, it actually increases your basal metabolic rate. You start to passively burn more calories compared to if you were eating a diet higher in insulin inducing foods.

Leptin was only discovered in the 1990s and you think the century-old CICO dogma somehow accounts for it? Fuck outta here. Telling fatties to eat less won't stop them wanting to eat. Telling them to eat things that give their body the breathing room to fix itself will.

So first think about what your gonna eat.

Reduce that to 4 and 1.2L of coke.

Just reduce everything you eat by 20-30% but don't change the food you eat for a month.

One small amount snorted will make you feel it throughout the entire day and you won't be hungry either. You could have your favorite meal right in front of you and you won't want to take a single bite.
The obvious side effect is addiction. If your mental fortitude is not strong enough you will become psychologically addicted to it. Since you are obese i have my doubts, but if you really, truly want to lose weight you might just overcome it. Good luck and God bless.

Hey OP, like a few anons have pointed out it may be good to speak to a professional regarding the psychological aspect which I believe is very important to address here. Also, assessing your living situation and lifestyle works into this, habits, and then nutrition. I am certain there are services in your area which can help you work this out. It's ok to reach out for support and I recommend starting with your doctor. If you feel you're not getting what you need always get a second opinion. It'd be insane changing everything all at once and isn't a good strategy. One thing at a time, make that call.

Oatmeal with whey, can be made in 3 mins with quick oats on high heat if you watch it, stir in whey after cooking and even a spoon of honey if you want.

From my experience doctors don't know shit unless it's a very specific issue related to their specialty. A doctor is going to give the same advice or worse than you'll get here. Eat less and move more. There's no special secrets to losing weight.

Quinoa and Bean soup, you can add different spices (no MSG!!) to make it not as boring. Making food unenjoyable isn't the problem. It's portioning and the food quality. Snacks should be whole unprocessed foods like unsalted, raw nuts, blueberries, and avocados.

Stay away from sugary oatmeal, processed sugars and carbohydrates, white bread, rice, and potatoes, they will probably make it worse.

>you can estimate calorie output to a degree of accuracy
Says who? This is my entire point and issue with screaming at people to just count calories; you literally do not know how many calories your body is expending and going on some shitty two bit website won't tell you that.

Hormonally healthy people don't actually want to eat lots of shit in the first place, so just focus on doing whatever will give their body the time and space it needs to repair itself. Keto unironically does that.
