I cooked some pasta before using something like picrel and when I pulled it out of the microwave I got a whiff of this really pugnent kinda sweetish smell which stunk up the room. I aired it out and ate the pasta but I swear some of the pasta tasted like that smell. Just want to know if I'm gonna die or not.

You should get one of these or a big pyrex dish if your cooking so much pasta in your microwave. Just use a strainer

Yes. /ck/ tell me I'm insane, but with certain foods, if stored in plastic (and not even heated in them; just stored), I will taste the plastic. Seems this only happens with fatty foods, like peanut butter, for example. I won't buy PB that comes in plastic jars because it will, invariably, taste of plastic to me. This wouldn't be a problem except that literally all PB sold in glass is that all-natural bullshit that's basically a liquid goop rather than a spreadable butter and I hate that shit.
I just want some PB with added sugars and stabilising agents in a glass jar. Is that too fucking much to ask? Is there tinned PB?
