While that is true, very, very few people eat entirely wild hunted or completely pasture grazed beef. A conventional cow eats a hell of a lot of monocrops that also murders lots of rabbits and sparrows. Also ethics based vegans tend to also be into gardening and supporting local small growers. Many of the vegans I've known was from working in urban farming. In general most vegans if you ever talk to one know there's no harmless way to eat, but they try to choose the least bad options they can see.

All that said, the one redpill vegans have the hardest time trying to get down is that all large scale agriculture (and in reality most small scale agriculture) is entirely reliant on livestock to produce fertilizer in large enough amounts to make for good and consistent plant yeilds.

If someone waved a magic wand and tomorrow every human on earth woke up a devout vegan we would be very quickly fucked.

Why do you even mention conventional animal-agriculture? If someone cared about ethics surely they wouldn't eat this garbage meat. They would eat grass-fed beef, which by definition is atleast 80% grass-fed. Yes, these cows still eat some mono-crops but also a lot of unedible biomass that get's harvested along with it and has no real use other than being fed to livestock.

The meat of a single cow can last a whole year while eating 1-2 pounds a day. I'm pointing that out because vegans can't seem to grasp this. Eating beef is literally "murder" once every few years, not every time you eat it and i highly doubt the a vegan diet causes less animal-deaths. Not that the food-, pharma- and agrarindustries have an interest in finding that out anyway. They have already decided that they want us to eat ze kraut because it's more profitable.

If vegans talk about ethics maybe they should also think of the consequences their diet has on human health.
