Gross how? I've never seen anyone not use tongs here (Germany), nor misbehave. I have also not seen a single black person at one yet, it's mostly German families with a weeb child, some Balkanese (who are at worst loud). Buffets are good if you can find those kino small ones, where the food is fresh and usually fairly high quality. The mega buffets are kind of off putting for anything other than just going ham on things you dont usually get to eat your fill of like fried shrimp or chicken or meat loaf. Old Country Buffet had killer meat loaf and fried chicken. I miss it.

There’s this British show “secret eaters” (bongs have the best fatty shows btw) and part of it involves setting up hidden cameras and running little social experiments about eating. One was about how much more you’d eat at a buffet if they had bigger plates or something like that.

So the secret camera shows all these people lining up and they just do gross things. Licking their fingers, wiping their nose etc then grabbing tongs, things like that.
