Working in the kitchen was maximum cozy, I was just on a burger assembly line constructing burgers nonstop. But working customer service made me put in a two weeks notice and work at a grocery store instead. It's just a nonstop warzone of blood thirsty orcs barking at you and attacking you. I recommend the experience if you can make burgers all day instead of dealing with people.

I worked at McDonalds in high school. It wasnt bad. I worked with the Store Manager at his side job, and he let me have pretty decent hours. One of the worst parts was just everything I wore to work getting coated in grease and smelling like grease. I think every kid should spend a stint working that kind of job. Later as an adult I worked at Jersey Mike's. It was pretty easy, just go in in the morning and do prep work and bake the bread. One of the worst things at both job was dealing with fellow employees who have no motivation, spend their entire shift high, and are lazy.

Anyway at some point she spotted some tall and skinny chick she knew and was like,

then bull-rushed her just running straight at her. I don't know if the skinny girl was some kind of taikwondo black belt or what but as soon as this fat bitch got over there skinny girl's leg came out like a fuckin cobra whip crack, WHAPAP.

our store is so goddamn busy it's ridiculous. being in the deli area making food is a constant rush especially at lunch. customers aren't rude most of the time but if their order is taking a little longer than expected you can tell they're not happy. sometimes they have some kinda ridiculous requests too. one guy liked our cheese sauce so much he ordered the "extra cheese" option by itself 15 times.
working the cash register and pumping gas are so much easier than deli by every metric. making drinks and preparing the coffee im not too experienced with but it seems easier too.

Pro tip to any anons here wanting to break free from wagie life with as little work as possible.
Scrape up 4700 dollars, not necessary but it makes life easier
Get a CDL-A
Get an Over the Road trucking job and live in your truck for about 5 years. Get your food stuffs from Walmart, you can always get a truck into Walmart. Get a cooker made for truckers. Buy water/drink of choice too
You CAN get internet on the road to shitpost/play vidya. Just spend a lil on a phone plan that gives you a mobile hotspot for a laptop, you're set.
Driving a truck pays fat cash, especially when you don't have to pay rent or a mortgage or send money home to a family. The driving part is best described like this: hours of boredom and seconds of terror. Just drive safe and stay alert and you will be alright.
If you cant get 4700 just find a company that will pay for your CDL training. They will force you to work for them for 6 months in exchange but you will still get paid, just not as much as a good company will. The more experience you get the more pay you can get.
DO. NOT. SIGN. A. LEASE.
Save your Loves/Flying J/Pilot fuel points to get free showers/drinks. Dont go to TA if you can help it.
If you have a gf/wife then dont do this. If you have kids, dont do this. This is for single guys with nothing but free time who want their fat stacks but have no real drive or ambition or talent.
If it works for me, it can work for anyone.
Disclaimer: i am not a boomer who did this 20 years ago. I did it two years ago. Its not paradise by a wide shot. But it is FAR better than ANY faggot retail job I ever had, EVER.

I worked at a Sbarro in a Mall food court for 6 years while getting my 4 yr degree
It was honestly the best job to have at the time
Mall hours were 10-9 so no early mornings or late nights
Free pizza everyday, and better than that we had a barter system with the other places in the food court, so we would trade for anything, bc everyone else wanted pizza
Also at the end of the night, we would sell the leftover pizza to mall people for $10 a box and pocket the cash
Dated a couple of mall hoes, shout out to the thots at Auntie Anne's
When I made manager, I hired a bunch of my friends and we ran that food court like kings
Smoked pot in the walk-in and made mixed drinks all the damn time, especially during the holidays
One of the coolest things was how little kids would watch you spin the dough around on one finger like you were a celebrity or something
Got to admit I was real good
It takes about 8 minutes for a pizza to cook, I could fill the oven with 6 pizzas before the first one was done
Thanks for reading my Blog :^)

The average payout here looks to be about $1/km. If you really know how to play the system here, you can legally drive for 12.5h every 24h for 6 days a week. If it's just long-haul, full load to the destination at the end of that week, loaded and unloaded on your day off, you're still looking at a 70h cap (we have the option of 120h over a 14 day period, but it doesn't usually help). You're looking at an average speed of 75km/h, so... quickmath... It's possible to make about $5500 per week or $275k/a in Ontario, Canada, as a maximum. The average, working full tilt is probably more like $3000/wk / 150k/a because of deliveries, maintenance, construction, etc.

I thought about doing that, but then I found that logistics in the film industry can pay almost as well, and depending on what the day entails (if I have to remain on set), I can make $600/day (my absolute minimum is $300, usually low end is $450) to drop a truck and trailer off maybe an hour away, somewhere that a team of locations personnel has cleared and coned off for me. I've got all day to do maintenance, or a few more leisurely timed drops and pickups if I'm leaving set. If I wind up having to help the audio or video guys, I can charge an assistant fee on top (an extra $350)... and because I'm on time and useful, I've got a bunch of these guys scheming with me. If all goes well in the next year, I'll have a small fleet of all-in-one-ish trailers and some client-oriented video busses at my disposal, a dedicated vehicle return and maintenance crew, and I'll have to actually work for 13h a day, but I'll be pulling in $1500-ish a day 5 or 6 days a week, possibly with paid holidays.

Works at one of the busiest McDonalds in England, London Gatwick Airside.

Not only was it insanely busy with huge long queues but most of the passengers were stressed out, a large portion of which had food vouchers from their flights being delayed. Few people ever went full on rage as having patrolling police officers with semi-auto rifles tends to stop people going too far but most people you'd serve were grumpy.

Also, this conversation happened way too often

>"hi do you accept dollars?"
>"yes but we give an awful exchange rate and the change will be in pounds is that ok?"
>"sure"
>"ok, that meal is £2.99, in dollars that's $6.21"
>*customer hands over a $20 bill"
>"here's £5.12 in change"
>"What? That's way too expensive! And what am I going to do with pounds now?!?"

To make it extra fun there was pretty much impossible to do a refund for these.

I worked at chuck e. Cheese for two years. Literally the worst shit. Imagine working at a fast food place but you also have music blasting so loud you can't hear yourself think, people are rude, fights breaking out every other hour, managers were assholes who didn't let me leave until everyone was done (so my other coworker just fucked around for hours at closing) and then being shoved into a rat suit.

I'll never forget:
>Someone comes up to me complaining there is a bubble on their pizza
>Tell them that's normal
>They literally fly into a rage and say I'm the customer I'm right go get the manager right now.
>Manager just says whatever, asks for the pizza back
>They get even angrier because...they just wanted a free pizza without paying for it
>Eventually they just got the pizza

The only positive is that on occasion I would get free pizza. For working there you only got a discount so I would put in wrong orders towards the end of my shift.

It was bad, but being the manager was better than cooking or serving customers, although I still had to fill in when staff called in sick (which was often).

Maybe it's because even mom'n'pop slop shops try to act more corporate around here - base things on performance, try to promote a safe, welcoming work environment, blah blah blah - but fast food put me right into management, where the more upscale places I cooked would see me start rushing around and keep me on apps and prep - like, I'd run the grill or sauces while the sous or saucier went out front and got drunk, and then the chef would shit on me because there wasn't enough prep for the week done on a Saturday dinner. I've had a kid accidentally swing a fry basket into me at a burger joint, which sucked, but it didn't inspire murder nearly as much as the time I got nailed in the chest by a hot skillet thrown by an angry chef. I still only do catering gigs when I can't comfortably turn them down because of my experiences in BOH. I get that everyone's got their own experiences, but in fast food, I rarely had to be 3-4 people for minimum wage, and I was only the bitch or fall boy once or twice ever.

Depends how she's built. It doesn't take a whole lot of muscle for a 5'5" frame to weigh 150lbs. I don't know if I'd trust a firefighter or paramedic who wasn't.

It sounds cliche but honestly put yourself out there, what is the most reasonable step up you would want? Like going from fast food to litterally anything else. My buddy works at usps and makes like 25 an hour and just chills listening to podcasts all shift. He went there from walmart

This would have been the way to go for the past 13 years. But we are headed into a recession now so hiring freezes and layoffs will make it a lot harder to get comfy unskilled jobs. I worked in logistics in the years after 2008 and most of the people who were hired when someone quit were professionals with degrees up the ass and years of whitecollar experience. Only because they were reliable. Everybody else who lost their normal jobs had to work fast food or similar jobs to make ends meet

Worked during my last two years in high school, all throughout college, took a two year break while working a "real" job, then again when I went back to school for a masters degree. Working in an upscale mall food court in the nice part of town is top tier. Working at a Starbucks or a similar coffee shop near a college campus is also nice.

The funniest thing was, I was getting more female attention working at a mall than I did working a tech job in Silicon Valley for 60-80 hours a week. Being surrounded by young women that need to work and who are easily impressed does wonders for your confidence.

I do miss that aspect of it, the socializing and camaraderie. These days, I work from home staring at code and spreadsheets all fucking day. I should have appreciated the good aspects more back then.

>we had a barter system with the other places in the food court,
Based. I worked at a coffee shop (private one) just outside a mall and we used to trade coffee for lunch with some of the food court places.
Bringing a large fresh coffee or latte was enough to get us some cheap Chinese or slices of pizza. Good times. Too bad that mall is a ghetto shithole now.

I worked at a Tropical Smoothie on the food line. All lesbian coworkers and I'd get bitched at all day because I was a dumb lazy kid. Eventually I learned it was just easier to do a good job and gained their respect. One of them in particular got real giggly and flirty with me but I kept it cordial on account of the place teeming with sexual drama that I wanted no part in. Overall they worked hard and so did I. The owner was a pissed off Italian guy who chewed out customers anytime they gave us trouble so never really had to deal with the masses.
It was an oddly satisfying job but mostly pretty boring. Don't regret it, wouldn't really go back to it.

I worked at Chick-fil-A for about a year after I graduated high school.
It was an awful place to work at. Management were dickheads of the highest order. They could not be reasoned with at all and would constantly fuck you over on a whim (told a girl who asked and was an approved off for a relative's funeral that if she did not come in that day she would be fired). Having to take people's orders in the heat, rain, cold, tornado, whatever really made me realize you have to be an asshole to work there and enjoy it (nobody did).
Luckily, the MILF manager at Domino's was ready to re-hire me after I got sick of that bullshit.
