Egg salad sandwiches are 10/10.
>Toasted baguette
>Egg salad made with avocado oil based mayo instead of the generic Hellman's slop with soybean/canola oil. Dill, salt, pepper, and a dash of hot sauce.
>Thin slice of smoked ham
This truly was excellent. How could I make it even better?

Based. Egg salad sandos are the main reason I own an egg slicer. Try adding sliced black canned olives, no cap. Also consider replacing the salt/pepper with Old Bay for a little "deviled egg" type flavor. If you're already indulgently adding meat (ham) then I would instead choose some crumbled crispy bacon. Some diced raw onions would also add a pleasant textural contrast. As for the bread, baguette is great; personally I prefer seeded rye. Toasting is nice but even just a slight "crisping" for a minute in the air fryer does wonders.

Enjoy your eggy sandos fren.

Steam the eggs don't boil. 9 min for perfect soft. Also make your own maybe. Also add a dab of anchovies paste.
You are welcome.

It looks delicious what are you a fucking faggot or a woman? What kind of prissy fag starts complaining about something as simple as some eggs mixed with mayo? You're a buck broke bitch.
Maybe for dinner I will have a nice white table cloth candlelight dinner just waiting for you because you're the type that needs to be wined and dined and impressed before bending over to take it up the ass I can tell.

And I welcome yours, have not tried dill before, sounds choice.

Homemade mayo would probably be a game-changer too, but I haven't practiced enough to consistently get that right. Also, the more I think about it, as far as meat goes, a little diced salami or even pepperoni would probably work too.

Do you like anchovies? I do, and I think imma gonna put some 'chovies on my next eggy sando. (No need for added salt in that case.)

If you like that, consider the suggestion for Old Bay, which is basically celery salt with paprika
and black pepper.

How about cheese? I've never put cheese on an egg salad sandwich but I think something mild like muenster would work well. Maybe even some melted brie... oh now I'm gonna have to go make an Egg Salad Melt now...

I do like anchovies. Love any type of canned fish like sardines, mackerel and tuna desu. I often add sliced boiled egg when I make fish sandwiches, it's a winning combination. I agree on the homemade mayo this tutorial seems worth trying https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHGpyrRRlx0&t=151s

OK then egg fren, if you have an Ikea nearby, you should look for pic related in the grocery section. Creamed smoked roe in a squeezable tube. The flavor is in the same ballpark as anchovy paste, salty and a little fishy... but it has some sugar too for balance. As you can see in this Wikipedia article...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalles_Kaviar

...Swedes do put in on egg sandwiches, and I think it would go great with egg salad too. I haven't tried that before but probably will now. Kalles is not expensive and is worth a try for any enjoyer of preserved fish products.

(Ikea also used to be a great source of jarred herring with various seasonings, but in USA they dramatically reduced supply when COVID nonsense started.)

That sounds incredible thanks. Now that I think about it maybe some smoked salmon would be a good addition.

Kirkland? Man I wish I had a friend to go to Costco with, to complain about the food courts and make catty comments about other people's shopping selections, as we stocked up on eggs for the next two weeks of FUCKING GOURMET eggy salad sandos. No homo, just so ronery brahs.

By the way, you haven't told us about the hot sauce. Cholula is my go-to and I think Cholula Garlic would go well with egg salad. Something with a little chipotle smokiness would work well too. I don't like to use really hot sauces on eggs because they dominate the whole sandwich, and I also stay away from the more vinegary, runny sauces like Tabasco in this context. Cholula Garlic seems just about right.

Yeah mate, or even non-smoked lox would be fantastic. I tend to set preserved salmon aside to enjoy by itself because it's so expensive at the grocery store, but you couldn't go wrong with that combo. In which case I would minimize the other ingredients to really let that salmon flavor shine through. Someone else already suggested capers and those are a natural companion to lox. (There's a place here that does an amazing white pizza with lox, capers, and onions; it would probably be great with eggs too.)

I love egg salad, but I despise having to peel eggs. No matter what I do it takes me way too long and the shell always sticks to the whites. If it wasn't for this I'd probably make egg salad weekly.
