Why did he put nicotine receptors in your brain then?

>> No.18745200

I finally quit after 12 years of nicotine use and I feel completely fine. It was only hell for about a week, and then there were 2 more weeks of constantly thinking about nicotine and having to be sad that I couldn't have anymore. But now it's been a month and I'm completely over it, no more withdrawal symptoms, no more cravings, just feel 100% fine and normal. Except I don't need to keep consuming nicotine in order to be comfortable. I basically can just be comfortable indefinitely. It feels like there's a magical nicotine patch inserted inside my skin and it never runs out, so it just keeps feeding me pleasure and keeping me feeling content. I had no idea I could be like this. It's really awesome.

I always thought that if I quit, my life would basically be hell forever, since I'd always have to keep missing nicotine every day for the rest of my life. I thought it would be like having a wife tragically killed in a car accident and then you always miss her forever. I thought that even though the physical withdrawal could obviously go away, and chemically my brain would go back to normal, I'd never be able to forget the knowledge of how much I love smoking and dipping. I thought since I ate the forbidden fruit of knowledge, I was doomed to nicotine slavery forever.

I just can't express to you guys how fucking crazy it is that the feeling of missing cigarettes and feeling down and "lonely" about quitting, it literally just went away in under a month. I can't believe it was that fucking easy all along, and I just never stuck it out long enough to find this out sooner. I have been an addict for 12 fucking years and wishing I could stop for most of that time. And all along I literally could.

>Are cigars bad for you?
Of course, but my take is that the health risk is fuckall if you control yourself.
Obesity also increases cancer and other risks, might be better to smoke a cigar than go for a extra meal.
People here will post studies for you probably showing low risk, but take for example Graham Chapman who couldn't put his pipe down and died of mouth cancer.
Or Freud, turns out cigar is not just a cigar when you suck them so compulsively to get mouth cancer.
What I'm saying is it's not risk free, but personally I don't worry about amounts I smoke as it's more of a occasional treat than a regular daily activity for me.

For now, you feel normal when you don't dip and you feel good when you do. Soon you'll feel a little down when you're not dipping, and less good than before when you have a dip. Eventually you'll feel like shit when you're not dipping, and normal when you have one in. You'll need to keep packing lips just to avoid a painful withdrawal that's always lurking around the corner. And you won't enjoy it. You'll just be forced to keep using the drug in order to function. And you won't "quit before you get to that point" either.

Frog anon is trying to buy loosies as a means to control the amount he smokes. And I agree since pack of 20 is way too much for a occasional smoker. For example my mom has been a social only smoker since her teens, she keeps a pack in a ziplock bag in her purse, lasts her couple of months.
I used to buy picrel 5 packs for the same purpose, but that was also the only tobacco product that ever caused me to compulsively want more so I dropped them cold turkey and avoided tobacco for about a year to avoid sliding into addiction. No idea what crack cocaine they put in them.
I can go on a week long bender with frens smoking multiple cigars every day and than just stop and not feel any compulsion. Yet these sweetened shitsticks drove me nuts.
In US sale of cigs under 20 is illegal, "for the children", but in reality it's to create addicts.

Update. The opera was great, The Queen of Night who was gonn perform was sick so they got the woman who is meant to work in January. Of course Papagano stole the show but Pamina was really sexy ngl—her tits were deliciously flat. But about the cigars. Yeah I went in and I was surprised how many young people there were (including myself). I spoke the clerk telling him I was interested in cigars but never smoked one however I didn’t have ID so he couldn’t sell me anything. The chap was quite nice and implored I come tomorrow with ID—but I won’t. So instead I bought some Siberian sturgeon caviar and am now drinking alone in an overpriced overly hot pub in central London. £15 for a pint of cider and double of gin (not that over priced now that I run the numbers). Nicaraguan cigars are as good or better than Cuban cigars and have been for a while.
When Castro took over, some tobacco growers took their best seeds and traveled around Latin America looking for the ideal location to replant: Nicaragua. Nicaraguan cigars aren’t as prestigious as Cubans, but they’re as good or better for a fraction of the cost, not to mention that it’s very hard to get Cubans in some countries.
Fun fact: A few years ago, Cuban tobacco was devastated by a hurricane, so the producers went abroad in search of the best seed: Nicaragua. So, the Cubans you’re smoking today were likely grown from Nicaraguan seed.

Chewing tobacco is the way to go. Levi Garrett and Beach-Nut are best. Just make sure you go to stores that actually have a decent amount of inventory turnover so you don't get a nasty ass dried out pouch. Don't buy that stuff in a can. That's dipping tobacco and it's not the same. you gotta buy actual pouches of tobacco.

I used to chew Red Man a lot. Sadly, the name is America's Best Chew which is fragrant false advertising because it's NOT America's Best Chew. I could put up with it when America's Best Chew was just the slogan, but I cannot in good faith buy a product that claims to be the best and isn't.

I used to like gigantic cigars, but these days I'm all about the smaller cigars. Still thick, but not as long.

I also like cigarillos and mini cigars, but that's a totally different thing.

If they are totally dry you must be very careful. If you just put them into a humid environment they will swell and split.

You need to place them in a room rH humidor and raise the humidity very very slowly. Honestly I wouldn't bother unless they were special sticks. I did this with some neglected Cuban Cohibas once and managed to save about half of them. I went a little e to fast and blew up half of them.

If I were doing it again I would try to add like 3 rH per week for 7 weeks.

>Cuban cigars
Just a meme at this point. I've smoked them overseas where they're readily available. With 95% of cigar smokers you could hand them any semi-premium cigar and tell them it's a cuban and they would believe you. You could also hand them any cuban and tell them it's a davidoff and they would believe you. They're a meme, just like $500 bottles of wine that taste the same as $30 bottles.
The only time it's ever worth it is if you're part of the ultra autistic <5% that can actually notice any sort of difference, which being on 4chan you could very well be, but it's still unlikely.

I got into pipes because I rarely have time or a multi-hour smoke like I did when I had to study for exams. I do big fat cigars with frens on vacations and holidays.
Pipe, you can pack as much as you want in, and just add more if you still want to keep going. It's very convenient.
Also it tolerates being physically active well, no problem if you bump it into something I've straight up been under cars on crawlers with a pipe in mouth.
It's very comfy and keeps the skeeters away.
