Another holiday, another day for the king. Are you ready?

>> No.18736203

no ,i dont celebrate christmas

>> No.18736209

I like deviled eggs, but I've never heard anyone refer to them as "the king" before. Also, if you're going to make a thread about something you're making/eating how about taking 2 seconds to post a picture of the actual thing you're making/eating instead of just pulling the first thing that comes up on google.

it's a regional term from upstate New York

Not OP, but I made these last night. They don't really keep well if they're not sealed in tupperware, but I've yet to find something designed to hold them. Do any anons have special ingredients to make them a little less putrid? I like mustard, but usually don't eat it in this quantity, and find that I have to hold my nose when eating them sometimes.

Just put them rest into a soft roll or something. No smell, it’s just an egg salad sandwich.

As no good Christman Man should. If you celebrate "Christ"mas, you're celebrating Lucifer. All that awaits you is the fiery lake of Hell.

>> No.18738307

>>18738119
3 hard boiled yolk. one for finishing
3 tbsp mayo
100g unsalted butter
salt, pepper

And a flavour agent, depending on the occasion and season. From fresh herbs and canned tuna over truffle and smoked trout to umeboshi paste or sake. Or a combination of these. Even cacao works.

I like to add very thinly chopped smoked trout

A dash of tabasco is also good to substitute the vinegar, but then I wouldn't add the fish

They always go so fast. I made so many but by the next day, less than half are left. I'll have to make more just to eat with the leftovers, which is fine because they taste the best when fresh.

The only source of oil is the mayonnaise, and you can get kinds made with olive oil.

I sleep during the day and work so much being a fucking dirt poor wage slaver and taking care of my sick boomer parent that I can barely do dishes. I definately am not in a great position to use food processors at night in the house I live in with over 5 other tenants. I just choose not to eat deviled eggs because like most things, its a lot of work to make stuff like healthy mayo with evoo. it usually breaks apart pretty fast if you fuck it up too.
