why does being a chef/cook always attract the most degenerate, smooth-brained, unhygienic, scum of society?

because anyone can be a cook
that's why a majority of cooks are tattoo-riddled ex-cons

It doesn't start out that way, over time the monotony crushes you, it breaks you. Even so if said establishment is very busy or popular, it's nonstop all the time. You just start going through the motions and often times there's very little respite.
>having to deal with the weekend rush
Worked at a restaurant where people would line up to be seated and the line would be so long it'd continue outside. It was like this every weekend. I developed a dependency on alcohol to cope with having no life besides cooking food for others. I'm at a better place now both in my life and working elsewhere but man oh man I don't miss it.

Because you don't need shit to get these jobs and no one qualified and/or in his right mind would do such a horrible job with awful schedule, cuntbag customers and even worse money

I'm sure literally every one on this board with functioning hands could cook anything
cooking something well and that people want to eat, now that's hard
cooking on the clock and getting your orders complete with no fuck-ups, that's hard
