Spam is really good. Underrated gem. It is an essential item in my camping bag for when I go into the mountains. Awesome camp food. Great at home too. So many ways to cook it.

I, too, would like a ranking of knock-off brands. A few years ago I bought just about every brand and private label canned tuna I could find and the results were surprising. Canned tuna is easy to find, whereas canned ham selections are more limited in individual stores.

never eaten a whole can at once, usually takes me at least 3 go arounds. Slice thin, pan fry (no oil) 'til crispy, maybe put on a slice of bread.
sliced a little thicker, fried very crispy/burnt with eggs. cubed with instant ramen.
it's out of my budget now though, haven't had it in about 4 years
