This is a thread for the style of restaurants/entertainment places of Chuck E. Cheese, Showbiz Pizza, etc.

When I was a kid the one here we went to that I'm most nostalgic about is Major Magic's. It's long dead now. There were also places like DZ: Discovery Zone which was pretty radical, Little Caesar's own Caesarland, etc.

You see, they had entertainment in the form of animatronics. Apparently these animatronics were made by the drummer of the rock band MC5.

Who do you think was having their birthday parties at these places? I was born in the late 80's and went to parties at these places through out the whole 90's.

holy shit major magic's! i remember when my showbiz got turned into that. (the pizza was actually better, or maybe that's cause I was growing up and learning to appreciate more toppings right around that same time)

it was cool for a couple years, but didn't have showbiz's ball pit, the lighting was brighter and less "arcadey", and by 1992 or so you saw more and more redemption trash come in and replace the good vidya cabinets. they also didn't get a street fighter 2 or mortal kombat (i think they tried to keep the game selection g/pg rated so they wouldn't attract teens) so i pretty much stopped going after middle school.
