hi total coffee noob here, I want to make ice lattes at home instead of throwing money away at Starbucks or Dunkin <- my standard is pretty low.

Is there a pod machine that is recommended specifically for lattes? I read that the Nespresso Virtuo Next is a good option. Do I need a milk frother too?

Any recommendations for decaf pods for lattes? I'd be drinking these at night mainly.

If you want proper steamed milk you're probably gonna want a full on espresso machine (they usually come with steam wands), which is expensive and a whole lot of fuss and bother to use if you want to get anything good out of it.
Frothing milk can get you part of the way there but it's not the same. A milk froth wand you can get as cheap as $3, although the more you spend the better the build quality will be, generally.
You could try going with a more traditional italian latte where you just pour coffee into some hot milk, they typically use moka pots which make fairly intense shots of coffee.
I don't have much experience with pods so I can't help you there, if you want to go that route. Do check how much the pods themselves are gonna cost you if you pick them though, and compare it to the price you'd pay wherever you drink your coffee now, to see how much you'd actually save.
