I tried the ramdon or whatever from the oscar winning movie, the black bean flavor ruined the entire dish, glad I didn't add my steak to it first.
As far as instant noodles go, Mama brand has a smaller brick, thinner noodles, and pretty damn good broth for $0.70, the creamy shrimp, or imitation duck and garlic are pretty common even here in the US.

i liked jjajangmyeon the first time i had it, but now every time it's completely flavorless and heavy and disgusting in a way i can't put my finger on

Ramdon isn't meant to be some great dish, the point of that scene is that the steak being used is incredibly expensive but mixed with cheap, trashy instant noodles. It would be like an American kid asking for Kraft mac and cheese and throwing wagyu into it.

This shit tastes like dirt and mother natures asshole but I got tricked by Parasite like everyone else and tried it. I put it down at least 3 times and picked it back up until it was gone. I hated it, but its so odd, I kind of liked it.

Do people REALLY put good beef cuts in it commonly, or was it jist part of that movies weird class divide bullshit?

Yum Yum is a brand from Thailand, relatively hard to find in most countries. It’s very cheap though, and the duck flavour is really nice.

Somehow the exported version of Indo Mie tastes better to me than the kind available within Asia. You get both the seasoning powder and the kecap manis, together. Really nice with a fried egg

Black buldak around here bottles the sauce if you just like the spicy chicken flavor. 2x is a bit spicier which is mitigated if you dilute it with the water you cook it with. i personally like the taste of chemicals and artificial heat, so i add hot sauce to it after draining

I got through half a bowl of this once. Not even an hour later I had fiery, explosive diarrhea fountaining out of my asshole. Just when you'd think it was over, more came. My asshole was not only on fire, but also raw'd up from the constant wiping. It was the biggest nightmare an asshole could possibly experience.
