What side dish should I make for Christmas?

Main is a turkey and I assume there is already mashed potatoes/turnip and probably a salad.

Maybe something sweet?

Pic slightly related.

One of my favorite side dishes is roasted asparagus. The way I like to make it is to toss the asparagus (and chopped serrano or jalapeno if you like it a little spicy) in some evoo, then coat with sea salt and cracked pepper. Bake at 400 for 10 mins, take out and cover in shredded asiago and bake for another 5 then removeagain and let cool. Last pot luck I brought it to it was cleared out first of everything

Based and checked. I definitely went too crazy on the evoo the first time I made it so I recommend a light coating of it

I had to look up what evoo was. Might not follow your exact recipe but roasted asparagus is a brilliant idea.
