I'm from Canada and can't afford food. Everything costs an arm and a leg here. What are some cheap, tasty, and healthy foods?

You can always hunt deer and ducks with your single-shot rifles and fowling shotguns.
Oh, wait.

Sell the device you're using to post here and buy food. Then we both win.

bags of frozen vegetables are very inexpensive. bags of potatoes are inexpensive, along with carrots, and bags of onions are inexpensive and go a long way. you can get a bundle of bananas for $1.50. you can get a bag of apples for around $1 per pound. berries are often on sale for $2 a container because their shelf life is short. you can buy a whole hen for $8.50 and eat for a week off the stock from the bones and meat and make a dozen different dishes out of it. a bag of rice costs like $6 for fancy thai jasmine rice and lasts me over a month. a can of kidney beans is like $1.29 and combined with rice makes a complete protein and a provides a healthy carb. spices for flavor cost pennies per meal and only have to be replaced every other month, some spices and seasonings i've had for years. flour is cheap, yeast is cheap, and I'm assuming you have running water. learn how to bake and you can have a fresh loaf of bread every single day for less than a dollar. whole wheat pasta can be had for 99 cents and you can get a can of crushed tomatoes to make sauce with for $2.50 or $3.50 if you want the fancy yellow brand. buy large cuts of meat that are on sale/discounted and make things like chili or soups that go a long way and last a long time and are easily freezable so they don't go bad before you can eat it all. eat your leftovers, you don't need to make something new every day

poor people historically have eaten a lot of soups and stews because it stretches the ingredients out. you can cook and eat a chicken breast by itself, or you can throw it into a pot of chicken stock and seasoning and now you have 5 bowls of chicken soup instead of a single chicken breast

Illusion from perspective. If you were in the room and watching an adult woman awkwardly lying over the side of a tub while shakily extending one arm and spending 5 minutes rotating her phone to see if her face is in shot it becomes incredibly sad.

Make a trip to your local food bank, they'll hook you up with some staples like rice and beans and canned goods. Then see what's on sale at the grocery store and meal plan around that plus what you have in your food bank box.
If you're truly poor, you probably qualify for some kind of government assistance. Sign up and eat better, Canadanon.

Trap pigeons and squirrels, that should be legal if it's on your property. Just don't slaughter it in view of nosey neighbor Karens as that can be illegal.

This is really not good use of a breast. Just get some cheaper, fattier meat and use it. I mean, I see you said to throw it into the pot of broth, but still it's not worth it –using best part of the chicken on soup.

>I'm from Canada and can't afford food. Everything costs an arm and a leg here. What are some cheap, tasty, and healthy foods?
Dunno what it's like in Canada, but in the USA when we make too much money to get food stamps but can't afford high quality food like what people on food stamps can afford, we eat oats.
I'm also fond of bread and spreadable butter.
Maybe once a month I'll buy a ribeye steak or some 70/30 hamburger
