Want it bad since they even announced it, but absolutely impossible to find - even called Faygo at one point and they said they just completely ran out of stock within the first week and it wasn't really shipped to any smaller towns to begin with. I thought with time I'd see it, but it still ain't anywhere near me and the only way to get it is insanely expensive third parties.

I fucking love sprite so much. this shit is single handedly going to give me diabetes. I tried drinking the diet but its terrible, so I've just been drinking less of the normal stuff. if I can find a diet soda I like I'll probably end up having to switch to that before sprite takes a foot or leg from me.
sierra mist, 7up, mtn dew are okay.
I like root beer and dr pepper, but only sometimes.
I can't stand cola, fuck coke and pepsi.
squirt and sun drop are very good but not common around me, same for livewire mtn dew, I only see it in the 20oz bottles at gas stations.
jones used to be one of my favorite brands, many of their flavors were fantastic, but I haven't seen them in years, and when I do it's only 1 or 2 flavors. the berry lemonade was a top tier soda.
absolutely nothing compares to an ice cold, crisp sprite. if original pitch black mtn dew was available that however would probably take my #1 spot.

Any Italian anons here? I had few times some Italian cola in small glass bottles that had most unusual slightly rotted cherry flavor. It sounds gross, but this was most interesting soda I've ever had. I used to find it in World Drinks type stores, but I moved from that city and can't find it here anymore.

Shameful, anon. Their Cherry Coke is particularly disgusting. Horrible bitter artificial cherry flavor. Only way to do proper Cherry or Vanilla coke is the soda jerk way and run it by the bar for a squirt of syrup and a maraschino.

That said, the only proper answer in this thread is Coca Cola with real sugar (such as Mexican Coke) chilled to 33-degrees.

Dunno how it is in other parts of the world but the soft drink market is pretty brutal in the US. The "cola wars" were an actual thing that happened. It's really hard to get 2nd-tier or niche brands established and thriving. The disastrous nationwide expansion of Jones soda kinds of proves that. And it really has nothing to do with the quality because there are many sodas that are better than Coca-Cola / Pepsi Co flavors. That was especially true of Jones.

We are basically stuck with two controlled "choices" then store brand generics and no room for disruptions from a middle-market. It's a shame.

I don't know about jones soda because it was never sold here so I can only comment on fritz kola. they released like 20 different flavors and they're only available in glass bottles, almost all of them are 0.33l, sold for a premium price. you can't make your soda popular like that or even hope to appeal to the mass market with that strategy. nobody wants to try 20 different flavors either so the caramel coffee flavored cola is niche because very few people have tried it for those reasons

Right, and Red Bull isn't even a soda, it basically kicked off a whole new market in concentrated energy drinks. That only thing that has come close to disrupting in recent memory is the sparkling water fad but that is again a separate category apart from soft drinks. It just validates the conventional wisdom that the established players are permanent and every competitor has to come from a different type of product, which isn't true because people are willing to try new things, especially if they're popular with younger people.
