You don't have to leave them curing that long, but it's hard to get the time right because the eggs react wildly different. Also shady fucks use toxic chemicals to speed up the curing process, so it's better to make them yourself. Just takes a few months!

You aren't alone. some anon proved a few years ago that there are a ton of threads that are just recycled old threads, or scripted bot threads, solely to make it seem traffic was more than it was.
Dead internet theory is also often posed, but it's not true, it's a psy-op to make the marginalized shut-ins feel even MOAR disconnected.
I'd guess it's one of the reasons so many threads for the last 4 years aren't available on 4plebs--They have an auto-kill/prune/delet in the script.
I have seen quite a few of them where the core of the thread is the same, but there are unique posts in addition--they are usually ignored.

My understanding is that they just taste like a cross between chicken (duck?) and egg. Flavor-wise, it's probably not that big a deal. Just kind of gross to think about it, since you're eating the organs and stuff.

You brine them for 10 days, then wrap each in plastic foil and then in clay so it's airtight. Then put that in a freezer bags and let them sit in a dark cool place for AT LEAST a month to cure, maybe 2+.

Brine:

>70g salt (plain)
>40g sodium hydroxide, aka lye (NaOH), PURE, not drain cleaner!!!!111

Heat water until salt+sye are dissolved, let it cool and put raw eggs in it in a sealable jar. 1l is good for about 10 eggs. Make sure the eggs are submerged. Careful not to crack any, if you do, toss them. After 10 days get them out, rinse and towel dry. Then wrap and clay up. Careful not to break them now.

I got my lye from a lab supplier, to make sure it's not mixed with any poison drain cleaner shite. You can get some from a bakery maybe too (it's used for prezels). Or a pharmacy, idk. It's weird stuff, kinda static and it makes sqeaky sounds. A word of warning, wear gloves and glasses when making the brine and when draining it too. You do not want any lye on your skin or eyes.

I was made to eat one in a "gross food eating contest" at work. It was served alongside stuff like tongue (good), marinated chicken feet (good) and a cricket (OK). It was the worst one of the bunch but it was tolerable for the contest.
