I literally don't understand how to cook this. It's a package of shit you're supposed to stir into pasta. Can someone please explain it in simpler terms? Am I boiling the pasta and this stuff at the same time? If not when am I adding it? I had the water on boil and read this like 20 times and ultimately took the pot off the stove because I couldn't figure it out

They are instructing you to cook the pasta in the water/pasta/fat mixture. There's no separate cooking. The pasta is in the knorr package. As long as you're not blasting your stove on high, the water will prevent the milk from cuddling and the evaporation had been tested by their food scientists to leave you with enough liquid leftover to make a nice sauce that's not too watery.

1. Put on pants
2. Walk into kitchen
3. Search for "medium sauce pan". Medium in this case refers to Scoville heat. Not too spicy, not too mild.
4. See saucepan
5. Confirm mediumness
6. extend hand toward sauce pan
7. if saucepan has handle, grab handle.
8. if saucepan does not have handle, confirm it is not a bowl or hat.
9. place saucepan on stovetop burner
10. fill one cup measuring cup to line that indicates one cup measurement on measuring cup measurement
11. insert entire measuring cup into saucepan
12. remove measuring cup from saucepan, but leave water in saucepan
13. turn on kitchen overhead light
14. remove pants now
15. cut measuring cup in half, using circular saw
16a. fill new cup with water, and insert into saucepan. do the same with lowfat milk and 1 TBSP margirine (optional)
16b. boil
17. open package
18. remove top of package
19. open package
20. insert spoon, and stir contents inside of package.
21. return to boil
23. reduce heat to continue to boil for 12 minutes
24. you may sit for 10 minutes
25. stand for at least 2 minutes. pants optional
26. pasta will be tender
28. stir, serve, enjoy

do not do any cooking that is not explicitly stated on the package, you put the spaghetti in once the milk/butter starts boiling (you'll know it's boiling when bubbles appear in the water). after, you continue cooking for 12 minutes or until pasta is tender

OP the directions match those of the Creamy Pesto flavor, if you look at the ingredients it lists pasta as the first one. What you’ll want to do is heat the pan back up, dump the package in and cook it, and then after add into the completed dish the amount of the pasta you cooked separately that doesn’t stretch the sauce too thin.
