What's the point of low calorie? Is this a meme for people who purchase bottled water?

>> No.18572792 [DELETED]

>>18572697
It’s probably not good for you, but the point is
> want to eat high calorie sloppa
> don’t want to get fat
> buy low calorie version of said sloppa that tastes 80% as good as the real deal
> don’t get fat

>> No.18572807

The doctor told me I need to lose weight and bring down my blood pressure so I'm doing swaps. Eg low calorie vegan ice cream for ice cream, light vegan margarine for butter

Isn’t it pretty obvious?
> want to eat high calorie sloppa
> don’t want to get fat
> buy low calorie version of said sloppa that tastes 80% as good as the real deal
> don’t get fat
> might fuck up your gut or give you cancer instead
Personally, the only low calorie “snacks” I eat are zero calorie soda and zero calorie sips.

It’s not so much about calories, but rather satiety. If you feel full, you eat less calories. Check this out: http://ernaehrungsdenkwerkstatt.de/fileadmin/user_upload/EDWText/TextElemente/Ernaehrungswissenschaft/Naehrstoffe/Saettigung_Lebensmittel_Satiety_Index.pdf

I’m addition to this, I find that proteins and fibers are some of the best and they make you very full. Try a protein shake, fairlife makes some good ones, only downside is they abuse their moomoos.
Eggs are nice, lean ground beef, and rice are some of my favorites for clean eating and feeling full.

It’s also fun to taste all the different kinds of rice: Jasmine, Basmati, Botan, etc.

>> No.18572902

>>18572879
No? More like some foods make you feel full for longer, which is what many people need in order to start a weight loss journey.

Eating and sugar are the two biggest addictions today and are inherently linked to evolution/survival. You can’t expect most people to just go cold Turkey.

The smartest thing to teach people is the kinds of foods to eat

>> No.18572905

>>18572902
Not eating is how you start weight loss. Ghrelin downregulates when you're not stuffing your face all day.

>> No.18572933

You can get your satiety if you eat within the same gastric emptying cycle. Which again, requires not stuffing your face the other 8-10 cycles.

I’m the body poster.
What he said has some merit, fatties tend to have a larger response to ghrelin because they likely have more receptors or produce more of it, or a mixture of both

The issue is, he thinks most >people can just go without eating. He doesn’t understand that they are literally addicted to food and need to gradually reduce the amount of fuel they put into their car daily. If you look up fmri scans of normal people vs >people’s brains in response to food, it’s insane. You never make an addict go cold turkey, especially with something linked so much to survival

Just gonna say it one last time. They do binge eat if they go all day without food. Almost as if they had a spike in ghrelin or something

I mean you no offense, but you are wrong. They need to be eating throughout the day, lots of fibers and protein. Broccoli, green beans, lentils, brussesprouts, and other healthy low calorie foods that make them feel full. That’s the best way to help someone lose weight

It’s one of the few unhealthy things I consume on a regular basis. I eat very clean outside of that. I’m sure your diet isn’t perfect either.

Telling people who are struggling with weight loss to ‘just stop eating bro’ is terrible advice and almost guaranteed to lead to failure. You’re speaking from the perspective of someone who (most likely) isn’t obese and addicted to goyslop.

I’m not fat myself, but food addiction is real and losing weight is very difficult for some people.

This. My dad is on a keto diet because his doctor pretty much said "you're obese and if you don't lose weight, you'll die before 2030.". He seems pretty serious now but I think back a lot to the various VARIOUS times he went on weight loss only to immediately cheat and go back to his old ways. He just couldn't help himself at all, food to him was like porn to a seasoned /b/ coombrain.

How about you go shove a stick up your ass fool? Not all of us are manlets who sit on our asses all day. Humans need food to function and sustain themselves. This fact is undeniable. The biggest problem is portion size and that is something that admittedly a lot of people do struggle with.

I started keto last December

I have lost 110 pounds at this point, and i have 40 to go for my "final" weight goal, 80 to be at a healthy weight for my size

I will never be able to go back to my old ways, i have a problem, i coped with food for years, i would binge every night, eat 2-3 meals for dinner, drink a gallon of soda, eat candy and chips constantly, it was killing me, and if i lift the restrictions then i know i will fall back to my old habits, food addiction is hard, but it is manageable
