I did a Japanese snack subscription around a decade ago when it was still a relatively new thing, and the one I got was done by some expat weeb who made a point to pick out both iconic things and versions of things that aren't sold outside of Japan. It was still such a small diy type thing that it was actually a pretty good deal and the selections actually seemed pretty unique and well thought out. Still, I quickly realized that there's only like 3 or 4 different kinds of Japanese snacks that all taste the same, but are just put in different forms with different packaging. I'd say just grab a few random things every time you go to the Asian grocery store, and if there's something you really want to try shop around online instead of just going through Amazon, which is typically going to be 3X the price.
