I never used to agree with these threads, but after a recent visit I can kinda get it. Before covid and the start of the weimerica hyperinflation crack-up boom, 5 guys cheeseburgers used to be like $6-7. You could feed two people lunch or have enough food to feed one person for a day for $20. Now it's just crazy. I paid almost $40 for three cheeseburgers and a milkshake the other day, $9.57 per cheeseburger (knowing this board, I think I should clarify that this order was for two people). For that price, you can get a hell of a lot more burger at a pub, but there's fucking something about 5 guys cheeseburgers that makes them superior. I don't understand the haters. I'm convinced they must be shills for big clown. There's nothing as good as a five guys cheeseburger, made "all-the-way". Maybe Shake Shack comes pretty close, but I don't have one of those anywhere near me. Or maybe Stewart's cheeseburgers circa 2021 (had one this year and it wasn't as good). No other fast food or fast casual establishment can beat the quality and product offered by 5 guys. And speaking of fast food, isn't it just as expensive nowadays? I looked it up and a double quarter pounder with cheese from mcdonald's is 6.39 but only has about 70-75% the calories of a 5 guy cheeseburger. If you're going to eat fast food, why even bother with the big three (shoutout to sonic if you like goysloppa). Yes, I'm mad about the prices recently, but I'll still cave in and pay up a few times a year to satisfy that sick craving. At least 5 guys is raising prices instead of cutting corners like other companies.
