Do you like pizza that's been microwaved?

back in the mid 70's the school I went to got a microwave oven. after school you could buy these small six inch pizzas from them. didn't know it at the time but they were heating them up in the microwave.

they were limp and soggy

nothing has changed since then so no.

Yeah, it's alright. I prefer oven-baked, but if the microwave does a decent job, I'll gladly eat it. Why?

nah I hate soggy shit
I throw that in my toaster oven. sure it takes 5 times as long to heat up but at least it's not soggy

If I don't want to wait for the oven to heat up, I'll cover it with a damp paper towel and microwave it. Keeps the slice from getting hard too fast.

Just a tip: put a shot glass of water in the microwave when you heat up pizza. It restores the moisture so the cheese gets that perfect melty texture AND keeps the bread base from being all weird

Couldn't tell you. All my leftover pizza gets refrigerated then finely chopped, tossed into a piping hot skillet with a huge knob of butter, scrambled eggs, and a handful of picrel

>> No.18408551

The best balance between speed and quality is to first microwave it, then put it in the frying pan until it stops being soft and soggy.

I'm going to cum. Thank you for teaching me this holy hell I need to try this it sounds incredible

>> No.18408560

I personally put it in a plastic bag, and put it in WARM water for about 1-2 minutes. You dont want it to be boiling, obviously. Also bag MUST be closed all the way.

if we're talking about reheating chain pizzas, those are best eaten cold
if we're talking about frozen pizzas, those are best when heated in an oven

I tolerate it. Defrosting it for fifteen seconds is better than heating it up.
Putting it under a broiler or even on the stove makes it crispy.

If it's pizza that's meant to be microwaved no, if it's cold pizza from a restaurant, microwave it with a paper towel underneath so it won't get soggy.
