eh kinda but a lot more onions and bell peppers plus Italian seasonings
my adaptations are tomato sauce and paste instead of diced tomatoes, i add a little diced carrots and celery which make it a tiny bit sweeter.
when there is no sausage left i puree the rest and use it on pizzas for a incredibly flavorful sauce

you'd be suprized anon, my mom would cut chicken breast into paper thin strips then put them in a cast iron pan and fill it with water then BAKE it on 350f until all the water boiled out then she would REFILL the pan and boil it off a second time, took about a hour and if the rice and boiled frozen peas were taking to long she'd go back for a third refill

fried plantains? love them, i have a few dozen banana trees in my yard some are blue ice cream java, cavendish, even a Gros Michel but a few of them are some kind of cooking banana like a plantain but it turns yellow and they fry up nicely, also good dried into chips

A Haitian lawn crew guy asked if he could have some, his eyes about popped out of his head when i gave him the whole stalk. i was so sick of bananas at that point because it was a really fruitful year
