Large sums of sugar consumption could lead to different types of cancers, maybe not as much as artificial sweeteners, but definitely enough of a correlation to mention.

There's no evidence that aspartame causes cancer, yet everyone assumes "of course it's worse than sugar!"

Every artificial sweetener I have tried tastes awful in it own special way. I hate it when they mix it into "normal" (i.e. stuff that does not have diet or sugar free clearly marked) products.

Long term risk multipliers aren't the same as immediate effects you retard.
Non-nutritive sweeteners immediately cause gastrointestinal disruption by design since they pose as actual sugar but don't get digested.
It's meant to cause stomach problems for the benefit of letting fat people trick themselves into feeling like they're eating or drinking.
And because we're in a fat-centric world now where the literal majority is overweight they force this crap everywhere on the basis that it'll be better for most consumers since being overweight is a cause of a hundred other medical maladies and anything you do to reduce their weight helps.

I live in Paraguay.

We have 3 Pepsi flavors. All have artificial sweeteners.

The water tubes in Paraguay are made of plastic. Coca Cola has a lot of polypropylene.

You can buy Coca Cola in a glass container. It has one of the beverages highest in plastic you can find anywhere on earth.

But there's no evidence that they cause cancer in any way. There is no long term risk multiplier. What in my post are you even responding to?
Also, I consume artificial sweeteners and my gastrointestinal health is fine. How can this be?

>But there's no evidence that they cause cancer in any way. There is no long term risk multiplier.
You're confusing sugar with artificial sweeteners here.
Artificial sweeteners: I'm not arguing they cause cancer.
Sugar: I'm calling it a future risk multiplier for cancer.
My entire point was that a future risk multiplier for health problems (sugar) is completely different from an immediately acting source of GI tract irritation (non-nutritive sweeteners). A lifetime of hot dogs will increase your colon cancer risk by a fraction of a percentage point. But unlike a hot dog, a bag of Haribo sugar-free gummi bears is harmful up front.*
>I consume artificial sweeteners and my gastrointestinal health is fine. How can this be?
Because one person isn't the entire world population you dip. Not even deliberately engineered poisons are universally effective every time for every subject at the same dose, part of why you have LD50s for what dose half your subjects die with, to get a feel for what's lethal without overshooting based on a 100% kill rate skewed by a couple weirdo labrats who take twice as much poison as most every other rat.

I hate it just because it tastes horrible. They do this with every energy drink except monster and you can always tell. Even the full sugar version has sucralose too because amerilards physically cannot drink any liquid that isn't hazardously sweet.

Everyone dies.
I have to wonder which things are actually worth worrying over. Food seems to be pretty low on the list besides overconsumption, but I think only when you're too fat to wipe your own ass or something is it actually a problem, or a bit before then.

This. Artificial sweeteners always leave this horrid and unpleasant aftertaste that coats the back of your tongue once the "sweetness" sensation wears off. I'd rather drink something that has no sweeteners added to it at all desu.
