So I want to become a breakfast mastermind. I've mastered the pancake, french toast, the egg, and everything in-between. I thought I had it all figured out. BUT I went to a really nice breakfast place near me with my mom the other day and got a little something called...
SHAKSHUKA. It was delicious. I want to add this to my breakfast arsenal. As such I am cooking it tomorrow morning before work. My question and reason for posting this is to ask if anyone has made it before and if there are any mistakes I could make that the gay retard in the youtube videos didn't mention? Also this can just be a random, unique breakfast food appreciation thread.

How do you pronounce it? The part of me that knows a little Japanese reads it as shaksh-ka.

I mean he's actually right. It's nobody's fault but yours that John Harvey Kellogg convinced you that breakfast was an early morning thing.

I ran into this stuff later in life and recalled my grandma telling me about this dish her dad would make with eggs baked in tomato sauce but never had a name for it.
It's a very easy dish, slightly more challenging than standard american breakfast fare but extremely doable at home, and it's great at any time of day. Make shallow divots for the eggs otherwise the yolk will sink and you'll lose the presentation effect of the red-white-yellow. It's still tasty as fuck but it becomes a sloppa at that point.

Don’t overcook the eggs. Keep poking them. If they are hard, you fucked up.

Shakshuka is just a nigger version of huevos rancheros.
