Once I figured out the secret to making food taste good everything I make became super unhealthy.
>more butter
>more salt
>more oil
>msg
>fat
I add way too much (though not as much as restaurants) and my food tastes amazing but i've been gaining weight and feeling super unhealthy

it's not like I can just go back in time and spit out the redpill because if I add reasonable amounts of salt/butter/oliveoil then people are unimpressed by my cooking and I find it hard to even finish my own leftovers

Don't flip that switch anon because you can't unflip it, it will just ruin the facet of homecooking "being a healthy option" for you.

there's a difference between people enjoying your cooking and people being impressed by it, if you made someone a pb&j they would enjoy it but they wouldn't be impressed by it unless you toasted it with butter

Or, if you made the bread, banana bread, and the peanut butter was homemade walnut butter and the jam was from blueberries that you grew.

I think in a blind taste test people would prefer the processed pb&j as tasting much better
This is what hipsters do not understand, sometimes (not always, but) their homemade variations taste like ass
>but dudeeee I did it myself?!!!!!
so what you're a retard

OK, but what would be the most impressive PB&J? I think it would need a special shape and two different types of home made peanut butter.

account for fat calories and eat less
fucking idiot
none of those ingredients are unhealthy

Just cook the same way and eat less. You have control over the portion sizes you make.

It is much better to eat sensible amounts of great food than stuff yourself with food that tastes mediocre. Salt and fat isn't even unhealthy as long as your portions are fine.

The secret obviously is moderation, you should count calories and work out how much you’re eating. If you have a big meal of rich food one day, then you eat light the next. It’s that simple really.

The problem is that oils are calorie-dense but not particularly filling. Saying "just eat less" is easy. Actually doing it when you're not full is not as easy.
