Not a coffee drinker (yet), so take what I say with a pinch of salt. But I don't think it's about going bad, but about drinking good coffee. Left over won't go bad after 5 days either but I wouldn't want to eat it.
Coffee is probably at its best consumed right away so why leave it in the fridge for 5 days instead of just brewing whenever you want a cup.

Motors and gearboxes can be more expensive and cheaper according to wishes, the required performance also plays a role, the price of millstones can walk, maybe that - that is, cheaper, but under the order and you have to wait a long time, and a more expensive analogue is available, and if you don’t want to wait, then it comes out more expensive.

I thought I liked espresso more than filter coffee and as it turns out I do like espresso but I don't like the process of making it and I've found pourover is so much more satisfying to me. You have a Stagg right? If you want you could get a regular v60 first and get the hang of it first because then when you get the Switch you'll appreciate it so much more. Switch really makes pourover ez-mode, just depends what you're looking for though.

Its just mason jar cold brew filtered through a metal disc. The "pressure" isn't doing anything, just like the cuptimo.
>This still follows the traditional method of steeping for 12-24 hours. However, it produces a high quality concentrate as you are able to steep grounds directly in the water and agitate as much as you'd like. The pressure dramatically speeds up the ability to filter when you steep directly in the water.

I've never seen anyone talk about the 44mm, the 38mm V2 is the main one. I'll go over the categories I guess, based on my experience with it
>materials
Body and brace are metal, handle knob is wood.
>all metal
Yes, unless you want to count the knob
>burr materials
Stainless steel, although for $15 extra they offer TiN coating
>settings adjustment
Internal
>burr size
38mm
>grind speed
I'd rate it at a two star I guess
>microns
Only info I can find out about it is that it's 24 clicks per rotation and a 0.5mm thread pitch. Assuming this means 24 clicks moves it 0.5mm, it'd mean it moves about 21 microns per click. You could also list it as ? if that's not reliable enough information for you, since it's based off of chink babble. The seller's description of this thing is not the most reliable.
>capacity
25 grams
>dimensions
142mm x 50mm
>weight
423g, 497g with the handle
>price
$100
>country of brand and manufacture
China for both
>special features
Comes with a nice case and brush and bellows. Might be worth mentioning at this price point.

I've been able to get great flavor out of funkier ripes(eg. 2006 xg box loose) without skunking the whole cup up. Raws its easy to brew stronger than you'd like, but after a splash of water to dilute its just like I've turned the volume up on the tea. 10.15g in, 10.15g out. 2015 xiaguan pin ge ripe.

I've never seen anyone say it's $130 in any videos about it I looked up, no matter how old. I'm like 99% sure it's just the sellers setting the listed price higher and then putting it "on sale" to make people feel like they got a good deal or give them a sense of urgency. It's not even listed at $130 on amazon, probably because amazon wouldn't let them get away with it.
>did you ever fix that lid
Yeah I found out how to open it, you need a 6mm hex key and then you can pretty simply unscrew a plate on the handle to access the magnet and flip or replace it. But turns out mine was set correctly, I felt it was flimsy because I was removing the lid while holding the end of the handle, which gave me more leverage than I realized and made it feel like the magnet gave zero resistance. It actually stuck on pretty well and I've never had it come off during grinding, I can even flip the whole thing upside down and it doesn't come off.

>The J-Max burrs are a new 48mm titanium coated version developed by 1zpresso, unlike the 47mm Italmill coated burrs of the JE models.
J max has the smallest steps out of the whole line(and just about every other hand grinder), supposed to phase out JE and JE-Plus models and be their espresso flagship. Adjustment dial from the k series and it'll be a bit smoother experience compared to a noncoated burr of the same geometry. Whether or not thats worth the extra money is up to you. Here's the kinu burrs that the j series is "heavily inspired" by. Keep in mind the xpro has just started shipping out so that might be more up your alley. Supposed to have filter focused clarity of the q2 in a bigger body with jx steps and k external adjustment.

the price of the kinu m47 phoenix is officially 220€ here, is there anything i need to be aware of? i havent looked into kinu much yet and will read up tomorrow, but at a 10€ difference i might as well consider it.
if i could get the j-max on auction for around 150€ i'd much prefer that, although not being able to return it sucks too. decisions decisions

what would happen if i put cocoa powder used for baking in a coffee filter and used it in my coffee machine?

>> No.18304514

I used the phoenix from mid 2019 until about 8 weeks ago for espresso and filter. Its fantastic. I haven't used any 1zpresso besides the original q2 hept(non 2022 model), but I can only assume a chinese clone of a great grinder is probably still a pretty fucking good grinder. Timestamped to where he's actually talking about the flavor profile of the kinu. Jmax will have a magnetic cup(like the full price m47) while the phoenix's is held on by an oring. Jmax has smaller steps than just about everything else, but the kinus are stepless so you can dial in thaaaaaaaaaat much further chasing a better cup. He's talking about the simplicity, not the phoenix, but they use the same burrset and a functionally identical adjustment. No clue on 1zpresso's customer service for ebay purchases but I can only assume Kinu's German hospitality will be easier to navigate if anything happens.

It's not actually cream, it's just milk and sugar, or sometimes non-dairy replacement. Calling it "creamer" is just a weird marketing thing that stuck and now people associate "creamer" with "bottled sweet coffee milk shit", so it's occasionally marketed as "sweet cream flavored" when really it's closer to watery condensed milk.
