I made some wild rice and Portobello slop, what's your favorite?

The wild rice is cooked inside the sloppa?
Looks good, but I like rice on the side because then you can taste it better. Especially wild rice, that stuff tastes good just on its own.

Yeah, it's wild rice simmered in fried portobello soup.

I blended half the portobello with some vegetable broth and black garlic and made roux/gravy with the rest before adding it back to the pot with the blended mushrooms. Seasoned with thyme and simmered about 60 minutes to cook the wild rice.

The trick to a good mushroom sloppa:
1. Fry the mushrooms until they give out all their water and brown
2. Blend half the mushrooms totally smooth
3. Add thyme
4. Use wild rice so you keep some bite
