What do you consider to be the best seasoning for a burger patty?

>> No.18192853

Salt. Maybe pepper. Burgers don't need seasoning.

Maggi beef stock powder instead of salt.

alright so I was inspired by a recent anon's meal prep idea and will be doing the same. the cafe in the my building at work sells the worst fucking food and even a basic bitch sandwich (like the two slices of bread kind you made at home) are like $16. fuck that.

ergo, I will be baking batches of sausages and patties. each lunch will consist of:
1 x sausie
1 x pattie (chicken or beef, randomized in Matlab)
1 x large serve of rice or noodre (also randomized)
1 x handful of frozen mixed vedge
1 x side of home quick pickled veggies
1 x serve of sauce that goes well with rice (soy, teriyaki, BBQ, gravy, etc. randomized)

NOW, beyond the standard salt/pepper/garlic powder type stuff, what are some good ways to season these chicken and beef patties to keep me from getting bored with them?

What kind of beef are you using? I don't see how it can be nice unless you're using expensive as fuck beef, and in that case, why are you ruining it by turning it into a burger of all things?

>> No.18195070

>>18195064
anon you're buying too lean. just bite the bullet and buy 20% phat and the burger is delicious.

although I don't agree with the minimalist seasoning philosophy, I think a meat patty is a blank canvas and you are the Jackson Pollock of you ground meat patty

>> No.18195107

I never buy lean. The beef tastes bad unless it is heavily seasoned. That is, the cheap minced beef.

>> No.18195124

yeah maybe you're eating too many eyelids and tail stumps. or you're buying from Aldi.

the cheapest garbage they sell at a butcher is cleaner and more delicious than anything at the butcher counter in a supermarket, at least in Australia. maybe try the butcher and if it's expensive literally just smoke 5 less ciggies a week or one less trip to Subway and you're overall much better off

I hate people that try to get fancy with a burger patty. Especially when they give no thought to the burger toppings, such as the standard american. have a local burger place that tries this. Their spice blend tastes like taco bell. awful burger. I only go there for the chicken sandwich now. stop fucking up burgers, disgusting cosmopolitan ethnics

It's implying you took the lazy, low class route and didn't take the time to buy everything fresh and chop/toast/mortar&pestle it. Now those spice mixes do have a lot of added salt so there's still room to be a pretentious troll, but you never see that argument made.
