BLACK TRUFFLE

>> No.18185380

I didn't realize they had successfully domesticated truffles and we're growing large numbers of them now. Is there a fair comparison of wild to domesticated?

>wild has a chaotic taste and you can taste the forest
>farmed has the same taste every time, kind of bland

So they're the same but people pretend wild is better to justify the cost? Got it

I would bet my soul that pretentious cunts couldn't tell the difference in a blind test but would spend 100000000$ per gram to get the "real stuff"

This. How many people even eat wild vegetation and knows the difference these days. Wild apple vs farmed apple. Wild orange vs farmed orange. Wild onion vs farmed onion. I couldn't tell the difference. And in cases like strawberries, the farmed version is enhanced in every way. 99% of people would be lying if they said they preferred the wild version.

never been in any remotely rural area anon? my old house had apple trees and wild strawberries (along with blackberry bushes). though I agree with your general point the only one of the bunch I noticed any noteworthy difference was blackberries

Yes, like diamonds.
>NOOOOOO BUT IF YOU LOOK AT IT UNDER A HIGH POWERED MICROSCOPE THE LAB GROWN DIAMOND IS TOO ORDERLY IN ITS MOLECULAR STRUCTURE
Yeah, cause your missus has fuckin electron microscopes for eyes; fuck off.

Theres nothing wrong with farmed versions, its just that in the US nearly all fruit is trash because the farmed version has been optimized for shipping and looking nice after shipping.

Its especially egregious with fruit but vegetables often times suffer to. There are multiple generations now of people who have never left the US who think the produce here isn't usually terrible tasting.

There isn't actually any difference between lab grown and natural diamond so your point is moot

Just like there isn’t a difference between farmed and wild truffles so my point is moot, in that a bunch of fat Viking cunts got together and agreed to make my correct opinion king, or jarl or whatever the fuck.
