The wheat tortilla is the superior pizza base.

Only Americans who prefer to eat a tasteless bread with sugar may disagree.

Wouldn't it just get soggy and fall apart, and be laughed at, and ridiculed, and wouldn't it burn in a proper oven?

and here we see the modern man's tragedy : so accostumed to hyper processed food, he has now completely forgoten what real bread tastes like, and believes foolishly you can replace the most crucial part of the pizza with any other hyper processed food.
Man has fallen. Woe unto us all.

It's been a while since I've made any sort of pizza dough from scratch, but... I'm pretty sure the recipe does not call for sugar.

So... I regularly like to make breakfast burritos in the morning, and I do so with tortillas that I fry in bacon grease for a little extra flavor. It is WAY easy to burn them on accident. In an oven, where they would be exposed to prolonged heat from all sides, I can easily imagine them getting blackened.

Tostada, and yes. Crucially though, a tostada is not baked. Rather, you fry a tortilla, and put the toppings over it.

You are on the right track!
Now substitute the tortilla for thin pita bread. Not the fat pocket pitas, but the thin ones that are like 10 inches across. If its not called pita, its called some other brown country name.
tl;dr. flatbreads make good pizza and its fucking easy

No. Just no.

Pizza dough is the best reason to keep a sourdough culture going.
