All of the things mentioned are also simple to make and taste good right off the bat, which is not a bad thing but it's kinda like opting for the easy route, where anyone could pull it off and it'd still be "good", so it doesn't stand out as much. Same reason American dishes get shit on.
You could get most of these from Greggs or your corner chippy shop and to a random person, they wouldn't be all that different from a high end restaurant, not different enough to justify the price differences at least.
