Hard to answer without knowing what type of pasta and what sauce but generally

Boil enough water to cover all the pasta you will cook, dunk a generous pinch of salt in water, put pasta into water when boil, stir frequently and taste hardness now and then. Drain when ready. That's the italian way to do pasta.
Now the hard part: Condiment\Dressing whatever you want to call it. You have to prepare before or meanwhile boiling pasta.
The basics - Tomato sauce
Heaten a pan with a little bit of oil, Sunflower is my choice since is quite flavourless. Put a clover of garlic (or mince it if you really like it) if you like it, or onions. then put tomato sauce and let simmer for 15-20 minutes. Add salt and that's it.
