How come they don't sell malt liquor at bars?

I was at a "very fancy" aka obscenely-instagrammable bar/restaurant in Chicago this week. Company dime. The type of place where bachelorette parties go to take group-pictures in front of plastic-greenery-walls with pink-neon-signs. And next to the bathrooms, they had... Have you ever been to a sneaker store? Where there's like a whole wall of nothing but individual sneakers, 10 rows tall, and so many columns wide... Except it was 40oz bottles of malt liquor. King Cobra and Olde English and Hurricane and Mickey's on display like a museum exhibit. I couldn't lie to you.
