It's pretty great at first but then when you have to start defecating it out later on it's pretty brutal.
I like the ottogi cheese ramen which is exactly like shin ramyun except it also includes cheese which helps neutralize the spicy reverse ass rape later on.

When it comes to food you have to realise that everything is worse that comes from Korea except kimchi. Everything. Even their barbecue is worse (it's good, but still worse). Their instant noodles are garbage.

I think I somehow mixed it up with the buldak 3x one or whatever, when I tried that it was just not good. I can handle spice, it's just I like there to also be flavour. Also the 3x one tastes really artificial, but I guess that's inevitable when you start having to use chemical extracts
Not that there's any instant ramen that tastes "Natural" as in something you'd find in the wild, but you know what I mean

These Kimchi bowls are the winner for me, first instant noodles I ever tried and they got me hooked. These days I've been going with Shin red because they're more common, cheaper, and spicier than kimchi. Samyang/Balduk makes some extra spicy big bowls which I love but they're less common and pricier. My most controversial noodle opinion is probably bowls over packs, cause bowls are lazy and simple whereas packs take slightly more effort and create dirty dishes.

>> No.18086159

>>18086062
Shin Ramyun's black version has a lower SHU than red (i.e. black is less spicy) and has an extra beef stock soup flavor packet. You can confirm it's not just that beef flavor that makes it less spicy by using it on the classic red version, where red will still be noticeably spicier.
Black is basically the mild one that was produced much later in the brand's history (around 2011) to try to appeal to more consumers.
