18069809 No.18069809 [Reply] [Original]

How should I prepare this meat? I just shot the thing from my bedroom window and harvested:
-1 rack of ribs
-1 lung
>liver
>heart
>1 front leg
>1 rear leg

The first time I killed a groundhog I was skittish and only harvested the liver; Fried in just butter and it tasted really good and was soft and not chewy at all. This time I got enough meat for a whole dinner.

Dinnertime is in 2-3 hours

I said gun owners tend to kill animals for the dumbest reasons because they love having an excuse to shoot them. It makes them feel in control. It's just the kind of crowd gun ownership tends to attract. Hunters especially tend to be the dumbest. I didn't really notice this kind of behavior among sport shooters.

Snapping turtle resting 20 feet away from the dock? Could be dangerous, better shoot it.

Unusual snake just tending to its business? Has to be one of the only two venomous snakes in Canada. Better shoot it.

I was using Winchester 22lr 42 grain 1065 FPS subsonic out of a suppressed 10.5" barreled AR15 with CMMG 22lr conversion bolt. Its a lead round nose bullet so it probably splattered into fragments and shredded everything inside the ribcage

It's pretty disgusting how Americans look for any reason to shoot living things then they wonder why they've got school shootings every other week.

I have a garden and hens. I don't want groundhogs getting into my chicken feed or eating my garden plants. The groundhogs moved in within 50 feet of my house and if they keep reproducing, they will end up burrowing UNDER MY HOUSE and destroy the foundation. I see plenty of animals on my property that I could kill and eat, but I don't because they aren't pests like groundhogs

OP here. I posted only 8 images in this thread.
6 were pictures of the meat and my process of cooking it, 2 were of groundhogs after I killed them. The other pictures of groundhogs and other animals aren't mine

You can tell which pictures are mine because the dimensions are all 2016x1512px

SBR'ing isn't too expensive. $200 for the tax stamp and ~$50 to get the lower engraved. Form 1 efile so it only takes a month or less, but i dont know current processing times. I'd prefer there be no tax stamp though

The concept of property is so foreign to Europeans that they take issue with shooting pests that pose a threat to livestock and/or agriculture. Probably because they all live in "flats" the size of sardine cans with a dozen other people and having a lawn is seen as some sort of white man luxury.
