The firehouse sub image looks better than the jersey mike's one. But in reality the jersey mike's sandwich is better quality.
Part of the issue here is jersey mike's has a bunch of decoration vegetables included by default.
When you order from them do not leave the vegetables in and don't order it "mike's way." Use the option for no lettuce, no onions, and no tomatoes and then you get a really good sandwich. Mayo and mustard are a good idea to select to though their default red wine vinegar and olive oil blend condiments are nice too.
What makes jersey mike's the best one is simply that they use the highest quality meat and bread. Firehouse quality is certainly better than the likes of subway or which wich, but I'd even put them below jimmy johns. Their bread is middling at best and their meat and cheese is a bit worse in quality than jimmy johns and a lot worse in quality than jersey mike's.

I don't remember what kind of lettuce Jersey Mikes uses, but if its iceberg then I would tell them to throw it in the trash instead of on my sandwich. Also they are mainly a cheesesteak place, It would be pretty disgusting to put lettuce and tomatoes on that.
