Butcher for meat.
Cheese store or deli for cheese.
Deli for deli meat.
Tobacconist for paper goods, stamps, stationary etc.
Breadbaker for bread.
Dry goods store for flour, sugar, etc
Dairy literally anywhere but the tobacconist. Srsly, ytf does every store sell milk?
And so on.
Supermarkets are impersonal and they don't give me better deals than the individual stores do.

Also no. Like 30 minutes. If I went to the supermarket, it would be more like four hours, all the driving, parking, walking around the enormous interior of the store, finding all the items because they've inexplicably moved them again, standing in the queue for 84 minutes because some pensioner can't figure something out, packing my purchases back into the car, driving home and searching for parking. Fuck that noise.
As for the independent stores, they're all very near each other, like a five minute walk between them all and the store that I would takethe longest in is the green grocer due to the seasonal nature of the business. Have to see what produce looks good that day. If I'm going to the butcher, I know I'm getting a pork shoulder or a beef belly or something. No need to look about.
