Yeah, I basically only use mine for resealing spices. I considered it for sealing freezer bags, but just bought a pack of sealable bags instead, beacuse in those I'd freeze liquids and I don't want those touching the softened plastic.
My system is basically: Buy spices in bulk, transfer a amount I would use up in a reasonable timeframe into the glass containers I use for quick access, then seal the spice bag as store it in the cabinet. Saves a decent amount of money, my herbs and spices stay fresh and since they are dry I don't fear the plastic shit as much.

It is one of pic rel, a cloth bag with instructions on it.
You use it to cook potatoes in the microwave quicker and easier: Put in 1-4 potatoes (more is also possible, but then it fucks with cooktimes), put into the microwave on high for 4 minutes (5 minutes in my microwave) and out come perfectly cooked baked potatoes.
The bag basically acts as a steam trap, which steams the potatoes and strikes a good balance between steam being able to vent and escape through the cloth, while also being trapped inside.
My guess is that you can get very similar results by using any small-ish container that you can close and nuking the potatoes in that, but personally I always had mixed results with microwaved potatoes (sometimes great, sometimes unevenly cooked).
A while back some anon suggested these to me and I bought them, because they are cheap and I could always return them, but I liked them a lot more than I thought. I use them to either make baked potatoes, or to precook potatoes, then add spices and oil and finish them in the oven for texture. Cuts down on cooking time, no cleanup, overall pretty nice. When I nuke other vegetables than potatoes (or something close to potatoes) I still just use a old fashioned container, add a lid and some water, and precook them that way, but the bag is convenient for what it is supposed to do.

Electric kettle
4 or 5 thermos to pour hot water into
Manual and electric pasta machines
hand pasta rollers
two or three rice cookers
fancy waffle maker
manual and electric ice grinders for red bean and condensed milk over ice
yogurt maker.
regular blenders (we burn one out every two or three years)
immersion blender for protein shakes and blending soups.
slow cooker
grill and smoker.
piles of other crap I'm forgetting about.

How the Fuck could anyone accumulate all this? By having several frustrated chefs living under one roof. Grandpa spends half his time cooking elaborate meals for the family, while wife and grandma also try to contribute.

>High powered mixer isn't really a unitasker right?
I mean it kind of is - all it does is mix things/puree things. Sure I use it for desserts, drinks, sometimes even as a food processor, or for soups, but all of those are the same function technically. But not all of the gadgets I mentioned are unitaskers, I use the egg slicer to slice mushrooms, the rice cooker for cakes, as a steamer, porridge and similar. A lot of unitaskers can be made multitaskers with a bit of thought.

You misunderstand the meaning of the word unitasker.

A garlic press is a unitasker because all it is designed for (and can realistically be used for) is pressing cloves of garlic. By comparison, an orange squeezer is not a unitasker, because in fact it can (and is designed to) be used to squeeze other kinds of other fruit like lemon and grapefruit; an immersion blender is not a unitasker because it can be used to blend literally 100s of different ingredients, for soups, for custards/ice-creams, for ganaches, etc.

no but my parents do and it drives me up the fucking wall
every week my parents buy some $100 shitty gadget off amazon "because it was on sale and i saved so much money!"
then they use it once or twice and let it collect dust in the closet, or they use it once or twice and it breaks and they throw it away
in our kitchen closet we have so many fucking spiralizers, panini presses, sandwich presses, mini grills, quesadilla makers, egg cookers, rice cookers, tortilla presses, burger shapers, that stupid soda stream thing, the fat bitch flip pan, bagel slicers, pizza slicers, fat separators, garlic presses, slap chops, knife sharpeners, stupid microwave oven cooker shit, you fucking name it and they've bought it
boomers are literally mind melted to just CONSOOM whatever shit they see on TV, zoomers are the same thing with vidya / marvel/ etc. shit

That has nothing to do with your place's previous owners: ovens, clothes dryers, and baseboard heaters are almost always 240V in North America, running line-to-line instead of line-to-neutral.
