I remember hearing that one a lot growing up. Also that eating past 6pm makes you fat. Someone I was in much better shape than would always tell me that, I'd just laugh at him and enjoy my food.

Drinking milk with a meal that has fish will poison you and kill you. Same thing for sketti.

This was my paternal grandma, she even claimed she asked a Dr if this was true and he confirmed it. Whenever she'd make fish id purposefully drink a huge glass of fucking whole milk just to make her seethe. She was a repressed dyke that was an absolute cunt to be around and an absolute fucking bitch. She thought she was right about EVERYTHING. I celebrated when she died by getting super drunk and snorting xanaxs before the funeral.

What’s not a myth is bacteria moves at the speed of light and transverses space instantaneously

It's real, but only applies to bacteria, not viruses.
You probably know that viruses are not organisms, they are a chain of DNA or RNA. Then they infect that cell so it creates more virus matter, etc.
If these DNA chains are adhering to a surface and your food touches it they may start sticking to the food as well, then enter your body via your mouth and you may get a traditional viral infection. So far, so common sense.
Bacteria are a bit of a different beast though. They are microorganisms, complete with cell(s) etc. Those are the small things you see under a microscope in school in a sample of old water. Since they are bigger (compared to viruses) and made of actual cell matter, bacteria are usually adhering a lot stronger to the surface they rest on, compared to a virus with its nucleic acid chains. This means that if they come into contact with the food the forces holding them to their original surface are stronger initially, meaning they would usually not so simply switch surfaces.
Now biologically speaking the goal of bacteria is still to spread, so the bacteria will naturally produce mucus upon receiving a stimulus (such as sufficient change in pressure indicating that another object is in contact with it). This mucus will loosen the adherence with the original surface, while also increasing the moisture of their surrounding medium (on a microscopic level, it's not like things actually get wet). In this mucus they can then move and go towards the new surface, where they attach themselves anew. This whole process doesn't apply to all bacteria and even among those where they do use this method the times it takes them varies by quite a lot, but it just so happens that the bacteria most likely to be present and to infect the average human take around 5 seconds (maybe a second more or less depending on the air moisture etc) to switch surfaces. You can test this under a microscope with two stained glass slides and some dirty water.
